I just wanted to post to let everyone know thanks for being patient on The Features site. We've got plans for some exclusive content just for the site, and (in theory) it shouldn't be too long before it gets into my hands. When it does, I'll post it.. you will download it.. and enjoy.

Again, thanks for the patience.

The site is very good.  It doesn't make the Features look like a local band, which is good for them.  The field reps concept is dumb.  If a band is good, they don't need all that nonsense.

little harsh there, eh mr. eno? i don't see a problem with the whole field rep thing, although the acronyms, fist & fun are a little much. who thought we'd see features, strike team, and fist in the same paragraph. hey maybe you should be their manager?

I think you are correct about FIST.  That sounds so dumb. I didn't think the post was harsh, but everyone knows this band is way too good to still be around Nashville.  However, I do get to see more Features shows this way.

You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

Mean would be calling him Lender's Miniature Bagel. By the way, was that a quote from Full Metal Jacket?

Hello all.  I am so mad for The Features, it's nutty.  Gots me a big ol' crush on ROGER!  MMMM...bassoriffic!

Anyway, the whole FIST thing may have a funny name, but the idea behind it is quite shrewd and brilliant.  Look what campaigns like that have done for BRMC and The Strokes.  I can guarandamntee you that if I posted a keen review of The Features MP3s on the two newsgroups that I belong to they would get a couple of hundred downloads at least.  It's the easiest and most effective marketing around.

Well see everybody at the show tonight...I'll be the red-head wearing a purple, vinyl, crotchless catsuit.
I'm alright, I'm just tired...I'm sorry, did I say I was tired?  What I meant to say was you make me want to put my head in the oven.

I was tempted to remove BrianEno's post.. and here's why. While I am all about some constructive criticism, I'd like everything to stay on the POSITIVE here. If you don't like the way The Features manager is doing things, go up to him and talk to him. Don't talk smack about him behind his back, anonymously, on some Internet message board.

So you're going to restrict free speech?  Go look at every band's newsgroup on usenet and find me one where someone isn't venting frustration about something related to the band.  The reason I don't confront him is that I don't want to.  It's none of my business to tell him how to run his band, but I will say what I think so long as I am allowed to post here.  I would tell the band but I don't want to and I don't know any of them.  I was calling him 'Mr. Bagel' to be funny (which I will stop) but everything else is the truth.  This band needs a swift kick in the ass to get a single, video, and album out *IF* they want to be successful.  If they don't, then everything is just fine.  I hate to see their talent wasted and if it takes a few posts to get the word out about the management, then so be it.  But it's your message board, so I'll stop being negative.

No, I am not going to restrict free speech. But, as I said, if you are going to criticize someone do it politely. If you don't think their manager is doing a good job, it can be approached tactfully.

I hate to see their talent wasted as well. And it's not my message board. I don't honestly care what is said, I just don't think negativity is very productive.

You're not going to restrict free speech, just remove posts you find inappropriate (per your statement on the 'positivity' thread)?  You 'don't honestly care what is said,' yet you'd 'like everything to stay positive' and were tempted to remove my post?

I'd like to keep the peace here and follow by the rules, but I no longer know what they are.  Am I to understand that I can't say Rory couldn't fill The Boro for a Beatles reunion because that would be negative?  That may be so, but I think it's the truth.  Making fun of and criticizing the manager, the band,  the fans, or their music will be part of any serious band's website.  However, this site is starting to show signs of becoming another silly little fan club site, which I hope it does not.  We have enough of those.

I don't want to cause trouble so this will be my last post on the matter as long as there are no more contradictions and no more complaints about someone speaking their mind.

On another note, I've probably overdone this whole thing.  My views are my own and don't represent any of the band members.  They obviously think he is doing a good job and are happy with him or he wouldn't be around.  Looks like I am just wrong.
