TOPIC: The Atlanta Show

I was wondering if anyone was coming to Atlanta for the show on the 26th. I am going to try to pull some strings at work, and I believe that Tom Foolery and I will take a little trip. I plan on going to as many shows as possible this upcoming fall (that is depressing to say), and hopefully I will get to go to all of them during the summer months before I am exposed to school again.
Anyway, anyone else going? And, who has been the Echo Lounge? I want to know some opinions on the place.

No, I'm not going. I will be at Wilco in Cincinnatti.

The Echo Lounge is cool enough. Are the Features headlining that show? A little bird told me that they might not be...
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

33% chance of me going to the Character/Features show in Atlanta.
33% chance of me going to Wilco in Cincy.
33% chance of me doing nothing.
01% chance of me flying to Vegas and getting hitched.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

I'm glad to see you're keeping the faith, Keith. There's always hope!

I would estimate there's a 95% chance that I'll be at the Atlanta show.

On The Echo Lounge's website, it says that The Features are the headliners. Where did you hear that they might not be, jamiecarroll?

I'll be there. The Echo Lounge is a good place b/c there is a separate lounge area with nice decor. You only have to be 18 to get in, the sound is usually decent, and there's always the possibility of seeing the infamous brianeno2 there. Plus my best friend lives down the street & my car almost got hit by a stray bullet last time I went there, so what more could you ask for?

A message board legend, nice decor, and random gun fire... it sounds like heaven to me!

the echo loune is a great venue. saw clinic play for 28 minutes there once.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

speaking of cleveland...

have you ever eaten at flannery's? it's the greatest pub. the food is brilliant. if i were old enough to buy beer, i'm sure i would have found one of their 30 or so beers to be nice as well...
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

I saw Nels Cline Singers w/Carla Bozulich at Echo Lounge in April and the venue is really great. I might just go to that one if I can, but I doubt I can.

Well, tomorrow night is the show, and I can't wait to see them do a full-length set. Yay. I just thought that I would share my excitement with the group.

I should be there...

I too cannot wait for a full length set. All I've seen was Dancin' in the District and it left me wanting more!

You may like grandma's yard gnomes, but I've seen Rock City. Remember it.

If I go, my ride will be leaving at 10:00 AM (I didn't even realize there was a 10 AM). So it all hinges on how lazy I am, and unfortunately I'm pretty lazy. We'll see.
