I'm expecting a bit more of a contest for the favorite off of the Beginning. What do you choose?

I voted for Walk You Home based purely on the live version. If I was strictly going for the EP, then I would vote Bumblebee. Now that I think about it, I should have voted for Bumblebee on this poll. Damn!

man, it was so much harder to choose a favorite for this one. i voted for "bumble bee." it's just such a great song, so dynamic. but "walk you home" is also one of my favorite features songs...i mean, maracas! it would definitely come in second. third would be "two by two," followed by "the beginning" (which nothing beats as far as opening a show goes), and then "SWSA."

"The Beginning" hands down wins in my opinion. Going strictly by the EP, "The Beginning" satisfied my Features hunger for a long time and the song is just great live and great on the EP. "Walk You Home" and "Bumblebee" sound different when played live, and better in my opinion. "Stark White Stork Approaching" is almost a totally different song live (for the better) and "Two by Two" is still a rare treat. "The Beginning" all the way. Matt's guitar solo, Roger's bass line, Parrish's awesome keyboard hook, and Rollum's awesome drumming during the verses...it's all too good.

Yeah I voted for "The Beginning" as well. But I love all those! I haven't heard "SWSA" since I lost my cd last May. wow.

Two by Two. Everytime I listen and think another song has taken its place, the disc ends on the song that grabs the top spot again.

"Walk You Home" would have to be my pick. I absolutely love it, recorded and live. It just makes me happy when I listen to it. "The Beginning (Week One)" is a very close second. Very close. I absolutely adore it, too. I love every single song on the EP, though. "Walk You Home" is just so enerjetic and amazing.

The Beginning. It should be used more often at the "beginning" of shows.

I voted for "walk you home". Great song, followed very closely by "the beginning", "bumblebee", "two by two", and "stark white stork approaching".....

I vote for "Two by Two." I remember how addicted I was to that song when they first started playing it. By the time they released the disc, my love for the song had cooled a bit, but it is still my favorite.

"The Beginning" got my vote. I agree with Mike in that it should be played at shows at the beginning more often. It's just so lively, and I get so excited everytime they start to play it at shows. Plus, it is usually the song I play for people who have never heard them before.

you know how sometimes a song can take you back in time and be so specific in your head that when you listen to it, it literally makes you feel like yr there again? well, for complex reasons, the song bumblebee is impossible for me to listen to... and that sucks. because, man, what a great song!!!
thank you for being a friend.

This has surprised me. I'm not a Beginning fan. It has high energy, and the riff is cool, but overall, I'd place it as 4th or 5th on the EP.

I hate "association" .. i've got more than a few of visual associations Every time I see Jack Black I think of one of my crazy friends who moved.. I won't get into that story huh.gif

I hate that yours had to be associated with bumblebee though... that sucks
