TOPIC: The BrianW appreciation thread

For those who don't know, BrianW has decided to step down as administrator of the board. Michael continues to update the site, but for the time being, there is no moderator. From what I'm told, measures are being taken to find a suitable replacement. Please keep this in mind if you have any special requests or concerns about the board. They will hopefully be dealt with in time.

BrianW said he didn't want to "make a big deal out of it", but I think it would be a shame if his retirement went by unnoticed. He's been here since day 1 [edit:I was wrong about that-- he's only been here since April '02] and, in my humble opinion, has done an excellent job of quietly and thanklessly keeping things on the up and up around here. He's even suffered some direct attacks when members questioned his actions-- whether it was deleting/moving a post or not deleting/moving a post. He provided a great service for little-to-no payment and I think that should be recognized.

Thanks, Brian.

We all heart Brian- thanks for the great & unceasing work. Carl, are you stepping up to the challenge? C'mon, put the PhD on hold for a while.

Thank you Brian for EVERYTHING that you do for the band and for us. I am sad to see you go. Will I see you in April?

Brian, you certainly have been a remarkable administrator, and you seem like just an all-around great guy. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

Thanks for everything, Brian! You're the best!

So Carl, what you're saying is...we're like a great big classroom without a teacher?

If BrianW isn't here, then who is going to move this topic into the misc. section where it belongs? I miss you already, Flyin' Brian.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

This is kinda sad. Kinda like the end to an era. The Features are getting big and Brian W is bowing out... Thanks for all of your work over the past years!

Actually, he hasn't. He came later.

Anyway, I love you Brian! If I was a single girl, I'd want to have your babies.

Damn, I came so close to making the same joke in my thread.

In my opinion, this thread has everything to do with the Features. Don't be a dick and ignore what Brian's done for the band.
