Although I don't own a hard copy of this, it's too rich for my blood. Maybe someone else here will be interested

$25 isn't really that much for something that's out of print.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

I think they're jumping the gun on its value. It's not worth that. You can still find it for much less if you keep looking, I'm sure.

Is it available at gemm.com?

One company had 3 available on gemm about a year or so ago, so I ordered all of them at maybe $5 a piece but turned out they didnt have them. I've been looking for a copy for quite some time since its really the only Spongebath release I want but dont have other than the BWG vinyl. I frequently searched DP and some other places for a while but with no luck. Today was the first time I've seen it available since, but to me $25 is too much. It's more of a collectors item, but as far as the music its not The Features greatest stuff. Compare it to copies of HBS I've seen for $60, and $25 almost seems like the discount rate for old spongebath stuff.

One day, when I'm not pumping every cent I find on the street into my own record label, I'm going to buy the entire Spongebath discography, regardless of the price. Singles, promos, everything...I can't wait. biggrin.gif

Hmmm, I won a copy of this from the same seller last weekend. The starting bid was $9.99, but I won it for $46. As someone living in England, I expected to have to pay a price like that.

It works out at £25, which I thought was quite reasonable for a rarity.

I haven't received it yet, so he better not be selling my copy!

he's also selling both spongebath samplers for $10... not bad.

He sold those last week too! They started at $5, but for some reason the second sampler shot up to $25. I stopped watching it by that point.

I hope I wasn't robbed!

Well maybe I've misjudged. I haven't watched the value on all the Spongebath stuff lately.

Hi Ladytron! Now I know what happened. I was desperate to get the Spongebath ep and bid up to $45, but was outbid at the last minute. To be honest I never dreamed it would get any higher than $25, but bid $45 to make sure. I asked Matt on Tuesday night how many of them there were in the first place and he said about 3,000 so they're not that rare.

have you emailed the guy (repeatedly)?

at the least, if you have been, there is negative feedback. for what it's worth.

I've got a good guess as to who the seller is. I could be wrong so I'm not telling.

I was bidding against you then?! Oops! I woke up before 7am on a Sunday morning to make sure I won that baby. I was surprised that your highest bid was $46 though, I thought I'd pay about $30 for it.

As for emailing the guy, well it's got to come from the US so I'd have to give it a couple of weeks.

I've just been told I could have been given someone's 'spare' copy. Now I feel robbed!
