Thanks for the link!

A good friend of mine went last year when The Flaming Lips headlined. He said it was a really great time and the band was really cool about hanging out afterwards.

How apropos since the Features are from Tennessee and so is Jack Daniel's. So will this event take place in Lynchburg, then? Lynchburg is TINY!
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

I believe it's a private party for UK customers. At least, The Flaming Lips show was a private UK party.

It might be a private party for the UK customers, but it will still be in TN nonetheless.

It says Nashville, but Lynchburg would be more appropriate.

thats quite a good line up. and im sure that afterwards its going to be reviewed all over.

maximo Park are emerging as a big band over here in the UK, and the same goes for Editors. So The Features playing with them is going to be really great for their profile. This might publicize them more. fingers crossed ey?

Are you just naturaly sarcastic or what not. Every reply ive had from you seems to have the same tone to it. One which im not at all liking too much.

Right, The Features, i understand and know are quite a big band from where they come from. But what you were trying to get at their is not at all what i was talking about. Maximo Park and Editors are big/up and coming bands over here in the UK, The Features however are not.

Seeing as this is a gig hosted by MTV and the British one, we can clearly think, yes this will most likely be taked about on MTV, and maybe reviewed in a few British magazines. The Features, i will state again are not as big in the UK as they are in Nashville and so what i was saying before, and you clearly mis-read is that in doing this gig, and playing along side Editors and Maximo Park, we will see a increase in interest in the band seeing as they are playing with big British bands, and bands which are seen as bigger than them over here in the UK.

-Just to make my point even clearer. Maximo Park are famous in the area where i live. The Features are not. The Features are famous in Nashville, Maximo Park not as much. So Maximo Park playing alongside the Features in Nashville will then increase publicity for this band.

Do you understand now. I think ive clearly explained my point in great detail their.. Any questions?

I'd like to just say if Sina is analysing this post for errors or something that doesn't quite add up please look away now to avoid further critisicm and arguments which I am certain will arise. Anyway, I read in The Fly (british gig mag) that only 200 people will be going and it mentioned the features as the "local boys." I'm think it's a private party with a BBQ at the end so I doubt there will really be that much publicity (unless NME sneak in through the back entrance). Either way it'd be great to go to.

Last year's Flaming Lips show achieved more than a few write-ups in such publications as Spin, Rolling Stone, Blender, etc. Also, there was an entire review of the show in Mojo.

Even if this year's show gets merely half of the coverage that last year's show got, it would still be quite beneficial for the features.

yeah, because im sure youve never made a mistake in your life before, or got a little bit of information incorrect.
-ok then, lets refer back to that other thread then. I made a mistake, you corrected me, but why did you have to do it in such a sarcastic and patronizing way. The same tone which you replied back to me on here with. Why do you do that then? Maybe this is just the impression im getting of you. Either way, its not something i like particulary.

I have to agree here, there's no need to be so immature (especially at your age!). Afterall we all know that sarcasm is the lowest form of humour.

More info on the show from my sources at Jack Daniels

"Quote"
The show will be at Mercy Lounge, not at the distillery. Residents complained of noise last year.
Winners are still hanging out in Lynchburg the day of but the show will be here.
It will be winner only entrance of 200. Although, I'm sure people connected with the band could still get on a guest list, unlike last year.

And just to clarify, the Mercy Lounge is a club in Nashville.
