The message board usually changes more and is more informative than the home page anyway.

I bought 2 copies of the single and paid by paypal. I have had no response to the order and payment.

Recognizing a purchase via on-line payment is a common courtesy.

I was told as of Dec 29 that the records were running late and would not be in until Tuesday, Jan 3. Assuming they came in on time, they wouldn't have been able to mail any by Wednesday, Jan 4.

The latest word is that the records should be reaching management tomorrow. Obviously the holiday season delayed things (the inital etimated date of availablity was pushed back from Dec. 29th).

Also, many of the backordered t-shirts have been recieved by management and shipped this past Friday.

They're doing what they can to get the orders out as soon as they get them from the manufacturers.

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way. But why was initial date of availability Dec. 29th anyway? I mean, why didn't they record it last summer and release it in November? I dunno, it just seems that "Father Christmas" would have been a good learning experience.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they've been in the studio lately. It probably wouldn't be feasible to rent studio time to record one song. My guess is it's something they did between recording demos that they thought would be a nice treat for the fans.

Look at it this way, you're going to get this one in plenty of time for Xmas '06 (hopefully). biggrin.gif

yeah, and that makes perfect sense. I hate to even voice displeasure over new material... I really do. I just go into marketing mode whenever something comes out that doesn't make sense to me.

It's totally feasible to go into the studio and only record one song. Bands do it all the time.

I have to admit that when I discovered it was the same song, I did feel slightly misled. I would've bought it anyway, though.

A few thoughts:

It was misleading, but perhaps unintentionally so.
It explains why they didn't include "Christmas Wishbook" on the album as a b-side (something I had been hoping for).
It also makes me wonder, even more, why it wasn't released back in November.
