TOPIC: The Sordid Family Tree of Discotheque

Alot of people have been quick to point out the geneological connections stemming from Discotheque to Temporary Blues. It is clear that the "I Wanna Go Home" section was lifted straight from momma Disco and put into baby Blues.

What I haven't noticed anyone mention is the similarities in the melodies of the verses of Discotheque and Buffalo Head. Anyone else hear this or am I just crazy?

And what about the song "Disco?" I barely remember it other than the really cool guitar riff before the chorus, but that one needs to make it back into the rotation. Does anyone else here (other than Jamie) even remember that song? They started playing it last fall, and I think New Year's Eve was the last time they played it, but I haven't really checked through the setlists.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Keith--'Disco' did in fact kick ass. I never knew that to be its name until after they stopped playing it. In the setlist, I always referred to it as "Rod Stewart" or something like that, because the riff in the song reminded me of a Rod Stewart song. I wish they would play it again. It was a Features song that was truly different from any other.

Okay, so I checked, and the last time it was played was 12-7-2001 at the Boro, for those of you keeping score at home.

While we're on the topic of "where are they now?":

To me, "Buffalo Head" and "Kari Ann" sound like they could flow together and be the same song at times. I can't remember where right now.

I love "Discoteque". I'm not a huge fan of "Temporary Blues", but I hear how the two are related.

Listening to my catalog of Features songs that would be tried once and then never played again, I seem to hear lots about a Fiberclass Canoe before it actually landed in "Serious."
I can't grow a beard, and I don't like to party.

"Stick Together" is, by far, my favorite lost Features song. A few months ago, it was poised to make a come-back. But I think the new summer songs pushed it off the set lists
