i am requesting that the features retire this song. i feel it has seen it's day.
It's not my fault!

Hmmmm. I don't know. The crowd always seems to enjoy it. They always sing along enthusiastically with the ya da da das and the 'hey! hey!hey!' part. They'd probably disappoint a lot of people by not playing it. I could go either way.

I still love Thursday, but I definitely think it would be come a bit more of a treat if they would only play it at maaybe one out of every three shows or something.

I like it. I think it's a staple. the only good reaosn for them to quit playing it is if they are just sick of it (which they probably are) otherwise, I like it, the audience likes it, right on.
thank you for being a friend.

I am all about keeping Thursday in the shows, at least for a little bit longer. Like the others have said, its a staple. BUT, again, its a good point about if they are getting tired of playing it or not. If they are, then we should say good-bye to them. I could go either way on this one.

Is 'Burma' dead? Has anyone heard it recently? I've always liked it; it's so different from any other Features song.

I think as a song Thursday is a great closer, but it usually ends up being more of a disappointment when it starts because it signifies the end of the show. I agree that it should be used more as a treat to the audience. Maybe it could signify a good show, if the band has enjoyed the evening and the crowd they could play it, kind of a thank you to the audience.

I'd be sad if they stopped playing 'Thursday.' It's the only song I look forward to.

Yeah they've got to keep Thursday. Think of the fools who don't come to every show. They rely on 'Thursday' to reassure them that all is well with rock music. Besides, the band does seem to improvise on it some.. I only moved here in January, but since then I've seen 'Thursday' with and (I think) without whistling, with a melodica, and speed way up at the end.

I hope you are being funny. I usually look forwards to buffalo head, design, gsrnr, or action. definitely not thursday.
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

thursday could be replaced with...star light star bright...i can't remember the correct name. i haven't heard that song in forever and it is similar to thursday in the way the audience reacts and sings along.

play the song just not at the end of every set mix up the placement I think it would be cool if they pulled it off as an opening song

I like Paid To Think, but if that replaced Thursday as the 'staple' it would be just as or possibly more annoying.

If they're going to end on some kind of anthem rock song, then the only other I think they have in their catalog is GSRnR, and I'm sure many of you will disagree, but I really don't care for that song.

'Paid to Think' and others don't have that strength of ending on something that is an anthem.

The good thing about Thursday is that it signals the end or near end of the show, does leave room for changes each time it's played (my favorite part is how Rollum changes up the drums during the last 'change my walk and my talk and my hair'), and it leaves a strong impression on first timers with a very climactic ending (I also like the vocal end that Roger used to put on it).

I've been lurking for a few months now but I felt the urge to respond to this. It seems the Features are getting more new fans every day. (i've only been a fan for about a year) Thursday is not worn out on them (the new fan) yet. It's probably the most climactic song, therefore a good closer. They should probably ride that out until they really hit it big. Just because the select few here are tired of it doesn't mean they should call it quits on the song. Imagine how old it must be to them. The fact that they can still play it with energy ought to be proof enough that they should continue playing it.

ahhh, what do i know? just a dumb opinion

Maybe they should really change it up by doing some gimmicks for it...

one night do a country version
I'd love to see and hear Matt Pelham rap

I consider working at Bi-Lo to be much more dignified than trying to be a harcore rapper from Murfreesboro.
