How many of you other Americans looked at the list and were at first surprised to see they had already booked shows for august and september?

I saw them at Brixton, although they were only supporting Kings of Leon. Thats the only show I've seen so far but I thought they were excellent. Roll on April !!! I'll be at The Garage.

I went to the Brixton show with the Kings too, but then had to take a closer look so went to see them at the Camden Barfly. Well worth it, songs are now cemented in my brain. biggrin.gif See you at the Garage ...

Their first UK show ever (July '03) was at the Garage. There were only about 30 people there, most of them Americans. Matt was so nervous and/or jet-lagged that he forgot the words to "Thursday" during the part where it's just him singing. It made for quite an uncomfortable moment of silence, so I decided to sing the words for him. He gave me a dirty look and skipped straight to the whistle chorus. What a priceless moment.

They fear attacks by Viking hordes.... have you guys gotten that problem under control yet?

More or less but we do get isolated viking attacks of rape and pillage from time to time. Who is winning over there, the cowboys or the indians ?

The Cowboys rarely win. And that makes me happy.

how do the people in england know when to clap during all the songs? i always wondered that.

and yes, at first glance, i thought, "wow, dates for august and september already..." then i remembered they're bassackwards.
remember that its all in your head.

Cleveland's a great town for baseball, but the Indians have been pretty disappointing as of late.

I noticed that the main clapping songs, See You Through and Dark Room, were not played when I saw them in Cambridge. I did noticed that there were other clappers behind me when they played TWIMTB.

On a related note, I saw a first country act perform in Nashville for the first time the other night. They used clapping, but no one from the audience clapped with them.

I'm a bit of a clapper myself, but it is a bit embarrassing when it's just me and Parrish...

Is Matt's middle name really Tiberius? That should make him fit in with the Vikings well.

I 'll possibly go to the Manchester gig if they dont add a Sheffield date. I notice they have a few free days before the Manchester gig, so Im hopeful.

Cool. I always think of him when I drive through Pelham, TN. In fact, it's not that far from Sparta, TN.
