TOPIC: Which One Should Not Be on #2?

Let's face it, folks. "Situation Gone Bad," though not a bad song, could have been replaced by ane one of 10 or so better songs on Exhibit A. There were songs more qualified because they're fan favorites or because they were being played more at the time or just better songs.

Even if the band doesn't still check this board, I still think we should establish our opinion about which song should not be on album number 2. I picked the ones that I think are the biggest contenders (but I'm probably leaving one out). God Save was thrown in for good measure, just in case they're thinking that way.

I'm glad that you agree that it would inconceivable to omit "Lions in Leather" from the next album.

I would say "God Save" because even though I love the song, it doesn't fit in with the rest of the choices. And I love all the other options.

We all know you're just trying to trick us into saying that GSRnR shouldn't be on there by giving us other awesome songs as choices. I see your game.

Of course, I voted GSRnR, so I guess it worked.

I voted for Concrete. If I can't remember anything about it, it must not be that special. And for the record, Situation Gone Bad is one of my favorite songs on Exhibit A.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Who's the tard who said Drawing Board?

God Save kinda damages the integrity of this poll, as it suffers the same "doesn't fit" problem as Demons on Exhibit A, and despite its recent revival probably won't be considered anyhow. 36 new songs, they're not gonna dig too far into their library yet...

It's the one that seemed very repetitive, semi-uncreative, and dare I say boring? As much as I love all the other new material I'll say this was the first Features song that I've ever hated. Maybe it will grow on me and I'll eventually love it, but this was such an easy decision for me to make.

I voted for Concrete, because it definitely DOES NOT stand out at all. I honestly can't remember anything about that song, except the title. All I have left to say is that Arcata, Foundation's, and GSRnR all must make the album.

Also, I would add Temporary Blues to this list; it should definitely make the album

I actually put on God Save because I thought the list would be longer and wanted to lengthen it. I didn't expect it to receive the most votes. I was afraid we'd lose Arcata.

And I think Concrete is awesome, especially the way they did it at Grand Palace.

"Send the knights to entertain me.
Send the jester out to fight
Have the lamb cook me some supper
the chef sounds good tonight."

It is probably the slowest, least rocking of all of them.

Were those new lyrics??? All I remember from the 2 times I've heard it was just "nothing is concrete, nothing is complete" or something to that effect, over and over.

Anyway, if they're going for a slow song, I still say bring back "Look Out Below"

I agree. Hearing the stripped-down version of the song definitely enhanced my appreciation of it beyond that of the full band version. It may become one of those great recordings that are tricky to pull of live (i.e. BumbleBee).
