For guidance through the troubled times
We'll pray to God
With satellites?
And hope our prayers are answered by
The patterns in the evening sky

While all around this tiny town
Tiny chit-chat echoes round
Enough to shake the buildings down
And squash the eagles in the ground

But, onward march the wounded trees?
Toward the turn of the century
Now I'm waiting patiently
For something to believe
I find it hard to sleep sometimes

And we'll fly
Through the air

So, good-bye mountains
Good-bye trees
So long home and family
The string of false alarms have ceased
And everyone's here for the f____?

And onward march the healing trees
Toward the turn of the century
Now I'm waiting patiently
For something to believe
I find it hard to sleep sometimes

We're the anti-gravity class of '93
And we find it hard to sleep sometimes
Sometimes

So, I was talking to Tom Foolery a couple days ago, and I have to say that I have no clue what the hell I was talking about when I posted these lyrics. Instead of eagles (I know, I am an idiot...) it is egos. At least that is our interpretation. And, trees=dreams. One more thing...How about "And, everyone prepares for the feast"?
