This might be sorta broad since Matt likes to play with our heads sometimes and judging from the Lyrics and Tabs section, there are some songs we're just not sure about.

But what are some of the crazy things you though a Features song was saying, but then later found out it was totally off?

This one is not very exciting, but when I first came to know "Thursday" I always sang, "I've got a brand new heart.." instead of "fragile heart".

ha.

I still sing that sometimes because I'm so used to it.

From Buffalo Head,

"Careful now, we'll make the connection."

instead of,

"Guess we'll never make the connection."

I have been trying to remember what I used to think
"and over and over and over and over..." sounded like from "Hey Lou."

My personal favorite is from "Circus," the garbled part that I translate as "I've got no feelings but I've got my hand job clear."

And then there are the lyrics to Temporary Blues that HSS and I did while procrastinating for our history final two years ago.

no, it was something silly that I heard. kind of like if you go "girl,girl,girl,girl..." through a "hand megaphone" it starts to sound like dooey, dooey...
maybe i heard "miranda, miranda"???? oh well.

Wouldn't "Andover" and "and over" be the same thing? I'm gonna sing Andover from now on when I listen to that.

I used to think the chorus of Circus said 'Oh Lord' instead of 'Hold on'.

does it go "over and over" and then turn into "andover andover (ma)" ?

olive lu fairly recently started singing 'stuck inside a tree' instead of 'stuck inside a dream' in bumblebee. when i laughed and corrected her she said 'i know, but 'stuck inside a tree' is better.'

There was an old Features song called "Standing By" and in one part the band would sing:

Doing the best I/Doing the best I/Doing the best I can

Matt Mahaffey decided to take these words and change them around to:

Doing the bed sty/doing the bed sty/doing the bed sty dance

i suck at hearing lyrics.

"save your self from the horrible yells"

heard as:

"save your self from the whore, oh yeah"

--------------------------

"two by two they came, things will never be the same"

heard as:

"it's true what they say, things will never be the same"

----------------------------

"over and over and over, etc."

heard as:

"ran over ran over ran over..."

I'm sure there are others.

Also, didn't someone here think he was saying "the ghost is clear" in leave it all behind. I think about that everytime I hear that song. pretty funny. no offense.
