this is a song i downloaded, and i don't know the name of it, and i think its really old. ive never heard anyone mention it or anything, and ive never seen it live.

redundancy repeats itself exponentionally
nobody wants to hear you say it over and over...

massachusets? you think its as simple as that well
some things are

blah blah blah
take it on the chin POW

That's 'Hey Lou.' It appears as a hidden track on the self-titled EP. It was written by Sam Baker, who played drums for Fluid Ounces (and several other bands in Middle Tennessee). It was also recorded by Self, but they have admitted that the Features' version is better.

Because it relates three of Spongebath's best bands, I believe that it was at one time considered the anthem of the label... or maybe it's just me.

I've heard that the song is about Lou Reed, but I'm absolutely terrible at interpreting song lyrics. I still don't know what 'Stark White Stork Approaching' is about.

At either the first or second Halloween bash many moons ago in Murfreesboro, EVERYBODY from the label got up after the last set and they played 'Hey Lou', which sort of solidifies its anthem-ness for Spongebath.
I can't grow a beard, and I don't like to party.
