TOPIC: Stick Together

I've been thinking about the trouble
We've got trouble.
That's not easy to hide.

It's a minor complication
In relation to the natural kind.

Our love is always changing,
Rearranging like the thoughts in my brain.

It was easy so much easier
Oh when you and I were ____?

Now it'll take time.
My, my...
We're walking a line

And, I said
I'm thinking we should stick together
Follow our hearts
Not even rain or stormy weather
Can tear us apart

It's a scary situation when communication cease to exist
There's a problem that needs solving
How'd we ever let things end up like this?

It's a minor complication in relation to the natural kind
So, why is it so hard to leave the natural complications behind?

Oh, where do we go?
Oh, no.
We're losing control.

Then, I said
I'm thinking we should stick together
Follow our hearts
Not even rain or stormy weather
Can tear us apart

I'm thinking we should stick together
Follow our hearts
Not even rain or stormy weather
Can tear us apart

********************************

There is only one part that I can't quite decipher (where the ____? is). It sounds like when you and i were ending my day...or living by the day...or something like that. Anyway, any help is appreciated.

And, let me just state that this is an AWESOME song.

It was easy so much easier
Oh when you and I were ____?
I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it might be "It was easy, so much easier / When you and I would live day by day."
grass stains, airplanes, anything and everything

This song is one of those that I dont like yet. It seems like since I love all of thier songs I would automatically like a song until I was given a reason not to. However, its weird because I always start out not liking a song until I've listened to it about 10 ten times and I starts sounding catchy and sticking in my head.
You're so fucking money you don't even know it

I listened to the song a couple of times and didn't like it. So, I didn't listen to it for a couple of weeks. Then I started thinking of the song and listened to it and I really like it.

With the Features, there's a condition that can only be described with local acts. In the case of Stick Together, I love the song, just not the recording. This is the case for many others as well.

Watch out. Familiarity breeds contempt.

Well, probably not with the Features, but you know, I just felt like saying that. I really can't see myself despising a Features song.

Oh, no but its true. I feel like I said this really recently but I'm kinda sick of Leave it All Behind and Darkroom. I completley wore them out. I don't "despise" them but I do skip over them on my cds. 10 times is nothing. If it takes me ten times to actually like the song you can imagine how long it takes me to wear it out.

I tend to skip Leave It All Behind, but never Darkroom. I really like listening to the recording of Stick Together, because it's different, as well as pretty.

I find that after years and years of it, I'm pretty tired of most of the Mahaffey-era stuff.
I can't grow a beard, and I don't like to party.
