it's just like an "Am" only put your 4th finger on the same sting as your first on the 3rd fret
if you know the name of the chord post it

If you're interested, I believe the mystery chord to be an A7. It's a triad minus the root note.

I don't think it's an A7.. I think it's an A suspended.

A7 would have the notes A, C#, E, G
A sus has A, C#, E, D

The chord tabbed out has these notes in it: A, E, A, D, E

It's missing the third either way, but it definitely doesn't have the 7th in it.
