JustAnotherDrive has yet to learn that you must watch what you say around these parts. I kind of like System of a Down in that really funny kind of way, but there is something about sandwiching the Beatles between The Offspring and Powerman 5000 that is just wrong. Where are Eno and Neuboy when we need them?
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Radiohead - Amnesiac

is this a joke? Amnesiac? over let's say any other Radiohead album. Amnesiac is just the b-sides to Kid-A

My very favorite records are:

The Beatles - White Album
Blur - The Great Escape
Self - Breakfast With Girls
Blur - Parklife
Wilco - Summerteeth
REM - Automatic for the People
Kula Shaker - Peasants, Pigs, and Astronauts
the Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
U2 - Achtung Baby
the Beatles - Abbey Road
the Kinks - Arthur

JAD, have you ever heard 'OK Computer' or 'The Bends' by Radiohead?  I mean 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac' were cute, pretentious little science experimnents, and that's okay, but if you want to hear Radiohead at their best, get the two aforementioned masterpieces.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

I was only treated once, unfortunately. I didn't really like Bends, but I love OK Computer. It's a good thing I didn't go out and buy both CD's, because that would have been a waste of 15 dollars for a CD I didn't like, but since I know I like OK Computer, I'll probably go buy it soon and not waste my money. Dude, are you being sarcastic?
I don't even know anymore.

Instructions for how to live a better life:
1. Burn all your System of a Down and Powerman 5000 and Linkin Park and Papa Roach and all similar albums.
2. Post to the Features message board multiple times a day.
3. Watch the Simpsons every day.
4. Make semi-obscure pop culture references so people can almost tell where you are quoting from, but don't quite know specifically.
5. Play some frisbee.
6. Make fun of everything. Except maybe your grandmother and Grover Cleveland.
6. That is all.

system of a down is a good band. i'm not overly keen on amnesiac, but i'd put kid a above the bends. to justanotherdrive: if you like rage against the machine, try to get a copy of 'entertainment!' by gang of four. i'll venture to say it's the prototype for jerky political punk. don't listen to anything else by them before you hear that album. they got pretty bad after two albums. oh, and i thought your name was some sort of reference to the roxy music song 'just another high'....i guess not.

I've always thought that I liked OK Computer and The Bends equally, but I listened to both the other night, and I can confidently say that OK Computer is clearly better.  The Bends still kicks ass, though.  'Just' is probably my favorite Radiohead song, and the concept video for that song is one of the most interesting music videos ever made.

'Just' is an amazing video, Jamie, and it is probably the reason that I got into Radiohead in the first place. Anyway, I think OK Computer and The Bends are almost equal. The production, and playing on OK Computer is better and there are plenty of great songs. I just usually say The Bends because I can always listen to it without skipping anything. I usually have to skip a few things on OK Computer, like Climbing Up The Walls and Fitter Happier (yeah, its cute, but I'm not going to waste 3 minutes of my life on it everytime I listen to the album).

On a similar note, does anyone own 'Strung Out On OK Computer,' the all string tribute album? I heard some of it, and it seemed pretty lame, but does anyone actually have it and have an opinion?
