TOPIC: American Idol II

Is anyone watching this? How sad is it that out of the 6,000 people who supposedly showed up for the Nashville auditions, only 2 Nashvillians actually made it in front of the 3 judges. On top of that, they sucked!

Anyway, anyone else notice an eerie facial similarity between Corey, the tall "Justin-haired" party man, and Matt Mahaffey?

Uh oh....I went searching for pictures of both Corey Clark and Matt to post, so that everyone could see the similarity. When I went to the American Idol site to get a picture of Corey, his profile said he was from: Nashville, TN! AHHHHHHH! ohmy.gif

Anyone here know him? lol

I have been watching "American Idol" sporadically (it doesn't help that it airs against some of my Sacred TV Shows) but what I have seen has been hilarious. I don't think that Simon is rude at all. I think that these people need to be told that they suck. I mean, what's Simon supposed to say? "Wow, that was great! You're not moving on to the next round!" wink.gif

Of course his v-neck sweaters with the sleeves pushed up uniform is a tad odd...

I'm not afraid to say that I've seen quite a bit of this show lately and I can't go for 3 minutes without laughing my ass off! The further it goes, though, the more it sucks. Once you've got a bunch of people who know what they're doing, there's nothing to laugh at.

For those who saw the most recent episode on 1-28...Did you see the skinny black kid that said "I love you" over and over as a song? He goes to Vol State in Gallatin (which is where I also attend) and he caught so much shit from people on Wednesday. It was hilarious. I just remember hearing "you ain't never gonna live that shit down dude...ain't never gonna live that down." He's a weird kid. He walks around mumbling things to himself a lot and he used to have a ridiculously large afro. However, he has since shaved the sides to form a wicked awesome flat-top.

I believe American Idol was spawned from the depths of Hell. This is what happens when Show Choir and Up With People breed...

I honestly thought that man could have been found living on the street outside the audition.

lol Oh my god. I go to Vol State and I had no idea he went there too. That is hilarious. I laughed my ass off when I saw him audition.

Did anyone see the guy that tried to sing Like A Virgin? Oh my god. I still laugh thinking about that!

I missed part of the nashville audition. Is that dipshit rockstar with the ponytail, goatee, pointed wristbands, and gay clothes from Nashville?

no, i'm pretty sure nashville cannot claim him, thank goodness.

i've been watching and i find it very entertaining. i'm glad to have some distant connection to the vol state "i love you i love you i love you i love you...[long pause]...i love you i love you i love you" guy. he was hilarious. my favorite moment so far has to be when they told the entire room full of people that they were cut. people just started screaming and dropped to the floor. classic.

exacvtly the way i feel about it. the auditions are funny as hell bc people suck so much, but after that, i don't care. i never even saw the first one...

but i must say my favorite part of the last auditions has been 1) enrique iglesias look alike who got rejected and then still insisted he was going to hollywood and 2) scary mutant slightly resembling beatle guy in a green shirt who sang like a virgin. that was some kinda funny.

that guy was classic......i love it when a guy shows that he cant face rejection and proceeds to live in his own little dream world on a nationwide television show.........

I really liked seeing that girl cry because they called her Kelly Osborne. Now TV Guide channel shows that clip over and over so I can re-live it. Bloody Fuckin' Hilarious.

I haven't been watching. I never catch it, the only thing I've tuned in on once was an episode of star search. They had a girl competiting on there from Hendersonville, TN which is like 15-20 minutes from where I live that was wierd, she didn't win.

American Idol II will soon cease to amuse, but right now it can be pretty entertaining. I think their ad clip that boasted they will reveal "the worst singer in the world" (in scary wrestling/monster truck announcer voice) was pretty hilarious.

my manager happens to be a very large black guy and so all of us were hoping ruben would win bc he looks so much like our boss. they watch weird reality TV sometimes at the bar. anyway, we were all pumped. that was the worst story i have ever told.
