"Since 1979, capuchin monkeys have been trained to be companions for people who are quadriplegics by performing daily tasks, such as serving food, opening and closing doors, turning lights on and off, retrieving objects and brushing hair."

When i saw david sedaris speak at vandy yesterday, he told a story how he wished he was paralysed so he could get the monkey to do everything for him.

and speaking of giving a monkey a tiny video camera, i set the self-timer on my digital camera & gave it to my 15-month-old nephew so he could take some pictures.

David Sedaris was in town!?!?!?! Damn I missed him again.. and I thought for a second there, Smee, you were going to make the to easy joke of "monkey with a video cam".. thanks for the reprise.
