throw it away and get a cd player.
seriously though, i don't know much about record players. i would assume the first thing you should do is make sure all the connections are tight.

real helpful i know.

dear lawn wrangler,
everybody gets the buzz and its usually a grounding problem. try to push the cartridge down further in the head.

Most turntables have to be grounded via an exteranal ground wite. I don't know if this is the case with yours, but that is usually the problem. If there is a mysterious wire hanging from the back of your turntable, just connect it to any old screw on the chassis of your receiver.

HEY GUYS THOSE CDS ARE THREE DOLLARS OFF

HEY GUYS THERE'S SOME HEADPHONES BEHIND YOU IF YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO ANY OF THOSE

ALL THOSE MOVIES BEHIND YOU ARE FOUR DOLLARS OFF

Will someone please tell me, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, why they think it's a good deal when the CDs are $3 overpriced to being with? Yes, those records are way overpriced in most cases. Few are rightly priced and even fewer are good deals. I once got Buggles - Adventures in Modern Recording for $4. So rare it doesn't exist in several dimensions.

That guy, although crazy, is the nicest store owner I've ever met. Lots of nintendo games, too. Original nintendo, not that irrelevant 64 or cube crap.

Original Nintendo is relevant, indeed. Does anyone know where I can get one of the little cord thing that connects the Nintendo to the TV? My Nintendo is dying to be played.

RF switch or audio video cables? the nintendo can use either (not both).

you can buy A/V cables at wal-mart for like $5 or less.
if you need an RF switch, good luck. try ebay. wal-mart might still carry something compatible.

In case you're unaware, A/V cables can be used with a TV that has inputs or a vcr that has inputs which goes to the TV.

There is also something called an emulator, which is basically a nintendo on the computer. you can download roms (games) to play on it. they are very true to the originals and the games are about 20k each in size. everything is free. if you're interested:
just do a search to find the emulator (very easy)
try looking around for the roms. try freeroms.com.

N64 is relevant if only for the Zelda games.

As for the original post, Lawnwrangler, may I refer you to my quote....
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Thanks for the help.

What I need is not A/V cables, it's that thing with the coaxial thing on one end, coming out of a little grey rectangle.

Neither my TV nor my VCR has RCA cable inputs, so search I will.

i guess a lot of people on here are the best i can ask this question... i have a 91 honda accord that died and i had to jump it and now the stereo system says 'code' whenever i try to turn it on. i'm sure it's the auto theft system but i bought it used so i dont have a 'Code' does anyone know what to do? there is no book with it or anything.. = (

Bumblebee, you are correct in your assessment. You'll have to enter the code the original owner had to unlock it. This will happen any time the battery dies. There may be a factory default code in it that will reset it, but I doubt it. Try logging onto usenet and asking the people in rec.autos.makers.honda.

Jamie, if you have trouble locating one, you can have mine since I use a/v. However, I looked on eBay and there are tons and they do make generics so you should be able to find one at Best Buy.

I still maintain N64 is irrelevant. 2 buttons on a controller is enough. I won't acknowledge tons of buttons.

speaking of nintendos, i just found something new that may be of interest.  you install it in the system and it tightens the connection to stop the annoying problems trying to get the old games to work

all this talk about nintendo is giving me flashbacks. two buttons and a four-way control pad is all you need. they dont make them like they used to. emulation is one of the best things in the world. although its not as good as the priginal system

Since Eno seems to have all the answers...do you know where I could find schematics for an old Fisher turntable/receiver (preferably on the web)?

Eno, could you help find instructions for building an internal combustion engine? What do you know about cold fusion?

Lauren, have you tried this page? Not schematics but some pretty detailed pictures

Neuboy, I would like to help you on that but my cold fusion projects were lost in a fire (irony?) along with my perpetual motion machine.

Sorry, man. I'm fresh out of plutonium. And what with all this fighting going on in the Middle East, those damn Libyans don't want anything to do with me or my fake bombs made out of old pinball machine parts.
