TOPIC: back to relevance

relevant, or, these things are good:
wearing all white outfits
the american analog set this weekend
the need for a lawnwrangler in this town
my tyger and the new mascot
exploring the world of (running for cover) jam bands
my fear of the high-tech new fangled message board
(where is roadie and his "back to analog" revolution?)
pere ubu in september
porta via pizza in murfreesboro
deevol's new subscription to "big black booty"

irrelevant, or, these sings suck:
Angel Dust
the whole forum about getting rid of cds
indie hipsters boasting their individuality in unison
wilco playing the same set at every show
the slow bar
being about four months behind on this message board

Wow, that was one irrelevent post about irrelevence. I tell you, having peole telling us what threads "suck" sure makes this board an enjoyable place. I can't wait until I'm away for four months so I can criticize everyone's behavior in my absence. Woo hoo. dry.gif

When you say "Angel Dust" sucks, are you talking about drugs or one of the best offerings from Faith No More, one of the most underrated bands ever. Yes, drugs DO suck, but if you're talking about the album, then I'm forced to quote Billy Madison:

"You know what? YOU SUCK!"

Welcome back Freeezetag. Porta Via Pizza in Murfreesboro? Do you mean Pizzeria Porta Via? Cause if you do then big ups to that.

Oh, and Digsy, ir/relevance is a leitmotif of this board. Whether or not you agree with Freezetag's opinions on such matters isn't really the point. I like seeing old faces back again, even though I probably was still lurking when Freezetag was a regular. I would gladly be deemed irrelevant if that meant the sudden reappearance of some retired MB veterans.

Well, newbies such as myself don't care if a person is returning or not. If the first post I read by said person is a list of what he deems important or unimportant, I'm just going to be slightly offended. But now that that is behind us, I look forward to getting to know said "returning member."

And I did have to look up "leitmotif" in a dictionary, by the way. I'm illiterate when it comes to English terms (we never ventured oustide of motifland back in high school). And if i seem a tad off today, let it be known that I'm on pain killers for my wisdom teeth and I haven't had anything to eat in about 17 hours so....partay. wink.gif

When I saw the word "freezetag", my heart stopped. It's good to read something by you! Don't listen to the naysayers...what will it take to get you to start posting regularly again?

Wait a minute. I think maybe I heard somewhere that "freezetag" was one of the members of the band. Is this true? If it is, that might explain why you guys are all over his/her nuts like this.

By the way, if it IS true, I didn't mean any disrespect Mr. Freezetag, sir. You guys rule.

how very true. it seems the miami vice look is a staple among RIM professors, as well as the balding mullet. we should usher in a change. i remember once being complemented by a professor on my choice of tweed jacket and sandals. what was he thinking? i was just being lazy.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

thanks jamie. if there hasn't been a air bud: dog of the gaelic games, there probably should be. all of these movies are, however, irrelevant. for something to be SO irrelevant that even i can spot it, it must be pretty bad. old yeller could have kicked his ass anyways.
