I know, Carl. I can't believe it. It's terrible. At least he got to re-unite with Mick before he died. But I guess there won't be any Clash reunion now.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

On a similar note, I can't remeber, but did Joey Ramone die before or after the Ramones were announced as inductees in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? I know he was dead by the time of the actual ceremony and I know DeeDee died a few months after the induction. I mean, it's almost like a curse or someting for punk bands to be inducted.

Yeah, I thought of him immediately as well. This truly is sad. I almost bought the Clash's first CD this weekend at the Disc Exchange and thought of how cool it was going to be to hear them play together again at the Hall of Fame induction. This is really sad... sad.gif

I am very upset about Joe Strummer. I was so sad when I found out. It was so unexpected. And to happen right before the Christmas holidays... It's so sad.

Ray Davies is very upset about it, of course. He holds a dear spot in his heart for Joe Strummer. He has been unable to get to an internet-capable computer this week, but I'm sure he will be posting on this topic sometime soon. Ray and I were looking so forward to a hall of fame performance. sad.gif There should be a crying smiley.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?
