So--what are your favorite bootlegs of all time (top 5)?

They can be studio or live bootlegs, released on a "label" or recorded on a walkman that you hid in your sock.

What are they?

I've hastily posted this one, and now I have to stop and think about it.

Hmmmmmmm.....

Top 5 bootlegs that I own...

R.E.M. - Live from the Borderline
The Features - The Mississippi Album
Fluid Ounces - INOFW Release Party at 3rd & Lindsley
Mike Watt - 10/23/98 in Detroit
The Features - 02/09/02 (this one is debatable as a Top 5er)

Ummm...

-Phish - 9/29/99
-Phish - 2/20/93
-Phish - 11/22/97
-Phish - 12/31/99
-Phish - 12/31/95

Phish = the greatest live band of our era.

Non-Phish:

-Uh, I suppose all of the Features' contraband studio material (where would I be without it?).
-And I guess the bootleg studio material from U2's Achtung Baby sessions. I forget what it's called, but (for a fan) it's great to hear all of that material as it was evolving.
-A White Album bootleg that I have is pretty interesting. It's demos, alternate versions, and whatnot. Listening to the rough sketches of the best album of all time is always fun.
-An Oasis bootleg of a 1996 show at Boston's Orpheum Theater is pretty good (at least the sound quality is good).

I would love to get more Features live recordings, though I have little to offer in trade.

smile
and once the whole thing is finally released, weezer's "songs from the black hole", the "lost album" between the blue one and pinkerton. If you haven't heard of this, i strongly suggest going over to sftbh.com and reading about it/downloading the tracks. really good stuff.
