Read any good books this year? Surely we do more than just listen to music!

Top 5 Books Released in 2006:

1. What is the What- Dave Eggers
2. A Spot of Bother- Mark Haddon
3. Possible Side Effects- Augusten Burroughs
4. The Nasty Bits- Anthony Bourdain
5. Consider the Lobster- David Foster Wallace

* I can't believe I forgot about I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence by Amy Sedaris. This book is amazingly funny.

John Hodgman "The Areas of My Expertise"
David Nadelberg "Mortified: Real Words. Real People. Real Pathetic."

Aside from a hundredish comics, that's all I've read. Thankfully I loved both of them.

The Boy Detective Fails by Joe Meno. Very lovely, one of my all-time favorites now.

The Gnostic Discoveries, by Marvin Meyer is really good if you're into potentially heretical Christian writings not included in the Bible. I'm assuming I'm the only one who would have read this, other than Deathscythe. And technically it came out in '05, but I have the paperback, which is an '06 release. That Jesus was a crazy guy.
