Bob Hope passed away last night. I don't know if anyone else enjoys his movies as much as I do, but I thought I'd mention it.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

It is sad. I have a respect for any entertainer from that era, since they were so truly talented. The fact that he lived to be 100 is amazing. At least he lived a long and great life.

This has been a ridiculously hard summer for celebrities. Way too many have passed away...

much love and respect goes out to bob from me. He lived a full life and has made a big impression on many many people. I'm also in agreement with u digsy over the past year there have been tons of deaths in the celebrity world and for that matter noncelebs as well. its like a big wake up call.

It is very sad, but I was more upset over Buddy Hackett. This was expected, but it's still very sad.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

Not only was he a wonderful entertainer, but he was dedicated to serving his country through his entertainment, and that deserves alot of respect. Much light can be made of his regular spot on the USO tours, but to dedicate one's life so much to providing entertainment to troops fighting overseas, whether or not you agree they should be there, is an extraordinary service. He's the only civilian ever bestowed the honor of "honorary veteran," and he'll likely keep that distinction.

You'll be missed, Bob.

You may like grandma's yard gnomes, but I've seen Rock City. Remember it.

I totally missed the Buddy Hackett thing. That is sad.
