Live Forever is a brand new film that reassesses the cultural phenomenon of the mid 90s when the phrase Cool Britannia was on everyone's lips and Oasis and Blur ruled the charts.

Live Forever hits the screens on Valentine's Day (in England, of course) and features new interviews with the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Liam and Noel Gallagher, Damon Albarn, and many more who discuss the role of New Labour, music and fashion in Britain after the 80s.

A soundtrack is also coming out next month.

Wow, thanks for that news, Ray. That sounds incredible, and I can't wait to see it. 1990s britpop is easily my favorite genre of music ever.
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

just think of all the bands who are considered "brit-pop".....it's quite a long list:

Ash, The Auteurs, Blur, The Boo Radleys, Cast, Charlatans UK, Elastica, Gene, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Happy Mondays, The La's, Lush, Manic Street Preachers, Mansun, Menswear, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Placebo, Pulp, Reef, Shack, The Stone Roses, Suede, Super Furry Animals, Supergrass, The Verve

I definitely hope to see this film, and i know others who visit this site would like to see it as well.....i think it has the potential to be the best rock documentary to come around in a while...

hmm...i'm definitely excited about this...all of the noel and liam moments in the little clip looked promising. i also liked when damon albarn declined to talk about the blur/oasis feud.

also...just out of curiosity, has anybody else ever read any of the special oasis nme? it's brilliant...there are quite a few interviews in it featuring noel, liam, and other assorted britpop figures (jarvis cocker being one of the funnier ones). it's worth at least checking out, even if you aren't a big oasis fan. noel and jarvis should have been a comedy team.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.
