Yes, the coach was a recurring character on Growing Pains before they (briefly) gave him his own show.

Number of channels available on TF's TV: 0

Yeah, I always thought the nerdy daughter with glasses was hot once they showed that episode where they went to the beach and she wore a bikini. The red-head is pretty hot too. I loved that show. I still remember a line from the first episode.

Kid: I gotta pee
Mom: Don't say "pee," say "powder your nose."
Kid: Well if I don't powder my nose soon I'm gonna sneeze in my pants.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Wow, the only line I remember from that show was in a classroom scene where there was a sub in a French class, (maybe the dad).

Substitute: Can anyone tell me how to say 'yes' in French?
Girl: (raises hand) Oui Oui.
Substitute: I'm sorry. You should have done that before class.
(cue laugh track)

man, that show ruled me (copyright SW). i liked it way more than growing pains. and i think the nerdy girl's name was marie. and weren't the other sisters' names wendy and cindy? could be wrong on those. my favorite was when they kareoked to "we are family." it was great because they really were family!

I only remember a couple of episodes. One favorite was when the parents were investigating which daughter was smoking. They tested the ditzy one by seeing if she had enough hand-eye coordination to light a cigarette.

I don't like cable... too many channels offer the empty promise that maybe something will be on. I didn't grow up with cable, so it always seems like the door to television opportuniy has been opened when I am somewhere with cable. But it hasn't. I just sit there flipping channels and wating my life away. I hope I never live in a house with cable again.

Cable rules. GSN, TVLand, TLC, it doesn't get any better than that.

Number of channels available on TF's TV: 0
Number of channels on wiyum's TV: 1- channel 3, which receives the rca signal for the gamecube and the component signal for the dvd player.

I enjoy being able to hit the channel up or down buttons and still be on channel 3. The volume is also constantly at zero because both the cube and the dvd go to my stereo receiver. It makes things so simple.

I hate tv.

You are so right, man. I got rid of cable about a month ago. At first it was sort of sad that there was never anything on, but that was really the case when I had cable too. All the options just made me think there must be something worth watching out there.

Most of cable does suck. But the 1% of cable that is good is so good that it makes me glad I have it. But I really don't watch that much TV. Except during football season.

oh god I would hate being with out at least basic cable. I can remember the first time we got cable I was glued to the tv for hours just hours. Before we had it I would ask to spend the night with my granny just so I could watch tv out there. But it's just the worst when you've had cable and then it gets cut off adn your stuck with just those few stations it's sooo horrible! But when u get it cut back on there's hardly anything on.

I agree totally genius girl! me and my roomates just got just about every channel out there and it's great!!! sure, there are tons of crap channels with nothing on them, but i could alternate between t.v. land, the gameshow channel, and all the music video channels and be perfectly happy. Of course the real debate is whether or not its worth the price. we split the bill 4 ways and its most definitely worth it. I wouldn't have it if i had to pay for the whole thing.
