They're already selling them in Japan.

I pretty sure that was on a Radio Shack commercial.

I like my phone.

There, I said it. I was against them for so long, finally caved, and guess what? It is great to be able to get in touch with people whenever you need to. It is great not missing stuff because people can't find you or don't want to go to the trouble of going to where you are to get you. I'm decidedly a fan.

One time James Riot and I were coming back from a Belle & Sebastian show in Atlanta and his car died in The Middle of Nowhere, Tennessee. Cell phones are a very good thing. Mine's tiny and simple, no camera, two games. I like it, and I'm not ashamed of it. I turn it off at movies and in resturaunts. It's also my phonebook - has all my friends and family's numbers right there for my dialing pleasure.
That's so NA.

My cell phone is practically a dinosaur. It's like...THREE years old. Its screen is in "black and white," so of course it has no camera and no games beyond Snake. But for the most part, it gets the job done. When my Cingular contract is up later this year, I'm going to switch to Sprint and get a new phone.

I only keep about 10-15 "essential" phone numbers stored in my phone. I will always have a "paper" address/phone number book, because I don't trust any electronic device not to lose them all.

Hey, that's where I live.

I too have an "old" phone that is way to big to be comfortably kept in a pocket. I don't care enough to get a new one; it does what it needs to do.

It was actually a radio commercial. I'm pretty sure it was for Radio Shack.

my cell phone is an antique. i got it in seventh grade. i had the coolest cell phone back then, but now all these new ones have come out and mine is as simple as they come. i don't really mind. it rings and i guess thats all i need it to do.

by the way, having a cell phone is seventh grade was very unnessicary.
i will dig a tunnel from my window to yours.

I begrudgingly own one, but it doesn't take photos, videos, or any of that idiocy. My friend found out that there's a device you can buy that jams all cellphones within a small (something like 100 feet or yards) range. I'd get one if I owned a restaurant.

I used to be completely against cell phones, I'm still not particularly a "phone person" but now I would hate to go without my cell phone. Even though it's old and it's a cricket and they stopped making my phone a while ago it serves it's purpose. An I don't think young kids need cell phones.. 15 year olds with permits can not have a cell phone! They barely can drive as it is! It's getting ridiculous my niece has a cell phone and she's 10, that's sad and what's even sadder is that it's better than mine....

Proud? You need a cell phone.

I recently got a new cell phone. Mine was ancient.

i'd say cell phones are almost a necessity these days. i had a nice one. then i spilled gatorade on it. my punishment for irresponsibly storing my gatorade was the phone company replacing it with a really old model phone.

my major beef with cell phones: they are the cause of one of the greatest stresses in my life...making sure it is off during class...making sure over and over and over again.

I completely agree. I can't stand when people do nothing but play with their cell phones. Put the fucker away for christ's sake. However, having one to get in touch with people is awesome.

One other thing I can't stand about cell phones -- It's not cool, ever, for the person you're hanging out with to be ignored for great lengths of time for a cell phone call about nothing in general.
