It would seem that something was posted that we weren't supposed to know.

I think it's a subtle message to use the utmost discretion on anything you hear about the band from those who may be closer to them than the majority of us.

yeah, good thing the administrators deleted that whole nasty thread. i think that if everyone who visited the board knew about the sweatshops the features have their offical t-shirts made in, that it might actually turn people off to their music. and it's all about the music, right?

i disagree HSS. some races were obviously meant to be slaves. they should be so lucky as to make features shirts. ph34r.gif

To paraphrase Chris Burke, "secrets are fun, secrets are serious, you spill too many you're going to get delirious."

Of course that joke will only work on those who have downloaded Chris Burke's music. Do it.

hmm.. well I would've been skeptical about the information released if it had been left alone.

The fact that it was taken off.. suggests that it is legit. So now I won't be surprised at all.

yes, i was just thinking the same exact thing. I'm sure my thinking is wrong, but i don't see the whole point in keeping this info from us. I mean, what harm would there be in letting us fans know about this? My knowlege about this will in no way affect any signings, contracts, etc. that may or may not be coming their way. Whats the harm in letting us in on the party? But like I said, I'm prolly wrong about this and have overlooked some major problem this would cause.

I would assume that either

A. The CENSORED isn't 100%, so they don't want to get our hopes up for something that may not come to pass

or...

B. They just want to surprise us?

Yes, messageboarder [CENSORED] posted something about [CENSORED] appearing on the [CENSORED] for [CENSORED]. [CENSORED] doesn't want us to know because the powers of the Daigle are limitless and without mercy.

yes you did... someone started a thread claiming that the features would soon have "their time to shine" and listed a few specifics that apparently were not readily welcomed into public knowledge. I will say some speculated that masturbation could have potentially had a great deal to do with this new "info"... i found this idea to be ingenious...whether it is true or not, it would be the perfect song for the subject matter.

joeywade, the Features are at a very critical point in their career and will remain there for quite some time. I think the band is very hesitant to jinx anything by jumping the gun and throwing it out to ravenous fans. The whole Universal thing got leaked to this board, and I was sad that no tact was used. Why withhold it? They need to keep their cool about things as well, and that's all the harder if we can't keep ours about it either (and we can't).

In this case, someone was asked not to spread the info, and they did. This prompted the asker to have the info removed.

i agree that it was in their best interest to pull it... like any other business, you don't discuss what is going/supposed to happen until the official memo comes out, because if it doesn't happen, you look like an idiot...

I don't know a lot about the music industry so some of you may be able to correct me if I'm wrong. However, it is my understanding that record labels often tell bands (perhaps even bind them with a contract) to keep any deals that are in the works secretive until the label is ready to announce it. I don't think they want their plans to be leaked to their competitors, and I'm sure they also prefer to control such information so they can put the proper spin on it for marketing purposes.
