So, I've been temporarily transfered to Chattanooga making a good dealk more money for the time being, so it's worth it. But...

All my friends, hobbies, hangouts are back in Nashville.

Besides the obvious things to do (zoo, aquarium, shopping- already been to a couple thrift stores, and the movies- plan to go see Fred v Jason since Carligula has been raving about it), anyone know of something for a bored loner to do around here?

I may go to the Lost Sea which is an hour North. It's a glass bottom boat ride through a lake at the bottom of a cave. Sounds fun.

Your input is appreciated.

Chad's Records is just off the UTC campus. You'll find plenty there. Also, check out McKay's Used Books off of Lee Hwy.

There's Ruby Falls if you're into the cave thing. (I haven't been to any of the E. TN caves in ages, but I'd say the Lost Sea is your best bet). There are lots of neat Civil War monuments if you're into that sort of thing...including old cemeteries and battlefields.

Other than that....I can't really help you. Let me think about it some more.

That "aquarium" is really just a bunch of robots.

DON'T SEE ROCK CITY!!! IT SUCKS!!!

Did they put you up in a hotel? Do they have "special" pay-per-view movies? That could keep you occupied for awhile.

Actually, the Lost Sea is pretty fun. It's got all of the normal stuff that you'd expect to see in a subterranean tour (i.e. stalagmites, stalactites, and the "total darkness" experience), but it's also got some unique stuff. For example, Confederates mined the cave during the Civil War, and you can still see some of the graffiti they left behind. The best part is, of course, the boat ride. The lake is illuminated so you can see the bottom for most of the ride. They've stocked the lake with fish that've grown really big. All in all, it's pretty fun. It should be about a forty-five minute drive from Chattanooga.

Whoa, foldsfan, I don't get it. Did you move to Chattanooga? Where are you living there? How long will you be there? Please explain.

Chattanooga sucks, dude. You might try hanging out in Atlanta; it's only like 2 hours away, right? Or just come back to Nashville.

I think his lawyer has advised him to keep quiet about it... at least until they reach a settlement with those kids' parents.

Well, excuse me if I am wrong, but I believe that like any college town, Chattanooga is well-stocked with fine college ladies. Now, in your case, I know that you tend to go for more of the high school girls, but I'm sure that they too are in full effect throughout Chattanooga. In all seriousness, you need to go to some bars and clubs, though that is not usually your "bag", per se. You would have no problem meeting people there. As much as you want to doubt me, you know that I am right. Nothing will pass your time better than ladies. You could even make a checklist of different things that you would like to do with these women, making it a game of sorts. "Threesome? I don't know hunny, I passed that round last week and to do it again would really just slow down my progression. How about a foursome? You, two of your beautiful lady friends, and me - the foldsfan." Yeaahhh, exactly like that.

My favorite place to see live music in Chattanooga is this old hotel/restaurant called Lamar's. It's in a really old (read: bad) part of town, but it’s a cool place with a really unique atmosphere.
A few years ago, a lot of good bands played there, and then the "scene" pretty much died. Lately, though some people I know are trying to revive it. I saw an Elephant 6-related band called the Essex Green play there last week, and apparently Songs: Ohia played there the following night. The Ladybug Transistor is also rumored to be playing there soon as well.

Chattanooga is not a college town. There's UTC there, where there are attractive women, but I wouldn't call it a college town.

I get your point based on a more accurate definition of a "college town." I just meant that due to the college, there should be more women in his age-range for him than a town without a college.

See folds, even JC has your back on this one. I think that you, JC, myself and the ever-growing ladies-man Carl should get some pizzas and marinate on this checklist at our Sketch Club apartment in the Boro. Naturally, we'll put it to the test later in the night with some delicious RD ladies.

I've got some great ideas for #5 and #11. Do you have access to a medicine ball and a catcher's mitt, foldsfan?

Thank Ya.. dadada.

They're putting me up in a suite for about 2 1\2 more months plus a per diem plus a living away from home allowance, plus a raise in my hourly wage. I'm still coming up to Nashville for practices and all that when I need to. i thought about Atlanta... Then got lazy.

lamar's--- Yes, I know about that place, but had a bad experience not too long ago where we drove down to play with an Elephant 6 band and they had told us the wrong night. It was actually the next night.

Someone told me about a place called The Local which sounded fine. I'll turn 21 soon enough and then all my problems will go away I'm sure of it.

Dick- sounds like we're going to need to find some trouble, with the help of JC and Carl, of course.

Look no further, trouble's my middle name. What are your plans for Sunday? Perhaps the first meeting of our coalition is in order and we can adapt the rules of Bone-opoly to your situation, while you, Carl, JC, and the host RD eat pizza off of naked women's bodies.

Well, that Joel guy is in DND and he's practically a walking STD, so I don't see why you should be any more concerned than you are already. You should come too and Serai, if she's into that sort of thing.

Looks like I've found two things for you to do. And she likes Ben Folds, as well as the Flaming Lips.

And, I know how you like girls that are well-kempt.
