The Tennessean ran a schedule of some of the classics to run this month:

A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965): 7 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 2 and 7 p.m. Dec. 13, on WKRN-Channel 2.

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (1970): 8 p.m. Monday Dec. 1, 7 p.m. Dec. 6, 6 p.m. Dec. 7, 6 p.m. Dec. 15, 8 p.m. Dec. 21, 7 p.m. Dec. 24, 9 p.m. Dec. 25 on ABC Family Channel.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (1966): 7 p.m. Monday Dec. 1, Tuesday Dec. 2, Wednesday Dec. 3 and Thursday Dec. 4, on Cartoon Network.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964): 7 p.m. Dec. 9 on WTVF-Channel 5.

If anyone finds more, post them here. I especially want to see "The Year Without a Santa Claus" with the Snow Miser and the Heat Miser. Put one foot in front of the oooother....

I remember the Louie Anderson cartoon that came on years ago, where they all felt sorry for some lonely old lady who never put up a tree or anything for the holidays. The neighborhood kids tried to decorate her house while she was out of town, and hilarity ensued.

Turns out she was Jewish.
That's so NA.

Turns out Louie Anderson is a pedophile.

actually....the one with the elf who wants to be a dentist is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. i remember this because when the Abominable Snow Monster attacks both of them, it is Herbie that uses his dentistry skills to help easy the Monster's toothache...and thusly saves the day
Eh.

I know, I realized it halfway through the show last night. I had thought that Rudolph and the elf came and saved the day, but it was indeed the other one.

Actually, I got all THREE specials mixed up. That "One foot in front of the other" song is in "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" when santa teaches the warlock how to have a warm heart. Sheesh, you'd think I could get it straight!

I was talking with my brother last night about how deprived we were growing up. The only Christmas specials the family watched with any sort of regularity were the Little House on the Prairie ones. Pathetic. I have had to catch up on everything as a teen/adult. I will make sure not to repeat this atrocious mistake with my children.

Fortunately, she married someone who is dedicated to such an education for her and her children.
