Did anyone here buy presale tickets for the ryman show and get more than they need? I was just wondering cause I would like to buy them from someone since the presale tickets are gone and I am going to be on the road when the normal ones go on sale.

Sorry I can't help you out, but I would like to use this opportunity to shamelessly brag that I bought tickets the second they went on sale a month ago and now have 2nd row tix. I'm a little excited about that.

Did anyone else buy tickets to the Birmingham show right before they announced a Nashville date? I did. I'm not as excited about that.

Did anyone else drive to Atlanta to see them last summer only to find out that they had not only cancelled the show, but also played a free acoustic short set for the few people that got there early? I'm still pissed about that.

yeah. i know, i know. I should have bought them right when they went on sale. I almost did. Then I thought to myself: ok wait, rent is due, bills are due, car is somewhat broken, i have to buy a plane ticket home to DC for christmas, christmas presents for family. stinking christmas, stinking rent. I should've known i would be mad at myself and just get those and tell my family i didn't feel like coming home. at least i'd get a good seat at coldplay. I'm gonna try and get seats, like get someone to get them for me since I'll be on the road, but I am NOT sitting behind a stinkin pole at the Ryman for Coldplay. I refuse. But I am very glad for you to have gotten those seats. DId you get good Birmingham seats? maybe I'll buy those from you, my roommate lives there.

The internet pre-sale sold out within 15 minutes, which was how long I fiddled with my network settings in the office trying to get through to the purchase page. I will be setting my alarm so that I can be on line at 10am saturday.

Exactly, at the Tori Amos show at the ryman I wasn't sitting be hind a pole thankfully, but I was in the back corner, not a very good seat..

It was by divine intervention of a man named steve or dave something like that(I've become terrible at remembering names) That I was able to have extremely great front row seats for Tori! I think the seating at the ryman can definitely suck at times.

oh I forgot to ask, who is opening for Coldplay?

I just deleted some Coldplay songs from my computer. I don't really dig them. They just don't push the boundaries enough for me.

I saw one of their videos on MTV2 over Christmas break..... they sounded very Stone Roses-esque...very John Squire riffs, lead singer trying to sound like Ian Brown....however, they didnt really expand on the sound that they were going for....everyone in england is going apeshit for them...however, they were simply okay......

I bought 4 tickets this morning. I couldn't get through via internet, I guess the ticketmaster site was overloaded. Instead I drove to Kroger. I bought the tickets 15 minutes after they went on sale, non of them are together and three are considered 'obstructed view', behind a freakin' column. The lady didn't bother to tell me about the view part until after my credit card had been run four times (once for each ticket, because they are scattered around). Better be a good show.

Not in this case, LW's reputation for this kind of stuff is known pretty much across the entire southeast. slut.
