I was well pleased when i saw that coldplay debuted so high. it's nice to see a good band near the top for a change. a great album like a rush of blood to the head deserves it.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

i love that album. it's already a staple in my rotation, just as parachutes was before it.

Well, everyone knows how I feel on the matter, Coldplay-obsessed freak that I am, but I'm glad that the boys are doing well. Its such a phenominal work of artistry that I can only hope that the millions that bought it expecting it to be chock full of pop gems like Yellow will love it for what it is and begin to develop actual musical tastes. But this is probably a hollow wish.

I can't wait to be in Chicago so that I can head to Reckless and grab the In My Place single... to think, there are still two Coldplay tunes out there that I don't own yet... it feels like Christmas with the butterflies in the stomach.

Wiyum if you wanna hear the two songs (I Bloom Blaum and One I love), go to www.arushofbloodtothehead.com. If you roll the cursor around the entire face, a bunch of things pop up-- including these two songs. The latter is pretty good, the former is alright.

Yes, Coldplay rules and so does their new album. It's different enough from Parachutes to be interesting, but still awesome. I think The Scientist is still my favorite. And it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a scientist myself.

I'll be seeing them a week from tomorrow in Atlanta. Rock on.

I bought AROBTTH this past Sunday at the Disc Exchange in Knoxville (they were playing it in the store and I liked it) and it is a very good CD, better than Parachutes I think (which was also very good). I actually disliked Coldplay back when Yellow first came out but then I heard Shiver and Trouble and realized that there was more to them than Yellow (thank Bob!). I will stand by my statement that having Shiver stuck in my head helped me do well on the ACTs.

Coca-Cola must be slippin' some crack in my Dr. Pepper because I do think it is a step up from Parachutes (both amazing). AROBTTH is having more impact on me than Parachutes did.

thus far i am unable to say whether or not one is better than the next. all i know is that i really enjoy both, and i'm content to leave it at that.
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

I think it's a really good album. However, i am undecided on which album is better: Parachutes or AROBTTH. I'm glad it denuted at #5. They truly deserve it.

I agree with you Digsy, about Coldplay, but Coca-Cola slipping you drugs in your DP is highly unlikely. DP is not a Coca-Cola product, Mr. Pibb is.

Which is now Pibb X-Tra, I suppose. Weird shit, that.

I hate Mr. Pibb. I don't care if it "tastes just like Dr. Pepper", it is an imposter and I will not tolerate that.

And it's about time you got some internet access. I thought you had somehow managed to escape our little cult.

No... you can't leave.

You can cross state lines...

You can remove yourself from all outside media...

You can sleep 14 hours a day...

But you'll come back for the fix.

i must say that i love Mr. Pibb. Digsy, how can you be so inconsiderate towards a dr. pepper off-brand? it never did anything to you. remember the almighty golden rule: treat others how you want to be treated.

just kidding, digsy. i dont hate you. however, i do love mr. pibb...

This is ridiculous! I will have no alternatives! This is like dating Tina Fey but instead breaking up with her for some girl who has glasses like Tina Fey. No substitutes for my love.

After I replied I had to go "do the mail" so I couldn't continue reading this thought-provoking thread. Of course I was still thinking about it as I pulled my little cart across the MTSU campus. I was racking my BRAIN trying to figure out what the name of that coke was. "Dr. Perky." We made fun of that for a while, eh HaveSomeSoma...?

I must also add that I just saw on the TV that this sunday at 7 pm, channel 75 will be airing a Coldplay concert...and the other 30 minutes dedicated to the Vines. Must find a tape...must find a tape...

The Hives Comcast Concert was really cool. I'm sure the Coldplay one will be equally awesome.
