In the late 80's there was a tv show called "Life Goes On." The main character was Corky, played by Chris Burke, a kid with Down Syndrome. He has also appeared on Special Olympics and McDonalds commercials. Most importantly, though, he did an anti-drug PSA that said something to the effect of "even I can tell that drugs are bad." It was supposed to mean alot coming from a guy with Down Syndrome. Maybe it did, who knows? Anyway, if anybody remembers the slogan from this ad, please tell me. My friends and I were trying to remember tonight and we could not come up with it.

I had such a huge crush on Corky's sister Kelly. What's her name in real life? Anyway, she's a fox. That sucked when she died on ER.

The tagline was something to the effect of, "Me, take drugs? I'm too smart for that."

I know the 'I'm too smart for that' part is right, but I'm not sure about the first part.
"Sugar, Mr. Poon?"
"No, never, never... thank you."

Yeah, that sounds right. I remember it now. Good call, JT.

I'm pretty sure I also remember him abruptly leaving the room after his line. It's almost like he was saying, "Oh no, the drugs are going to get me if I stay any longer!"

It's interesting that the social issues surrounding the mentally handicapped on TV are not discussed more.

All we have are Corky and Timmy, and I think there was a dude on LA Law.

I know Timmy is mentally handicapped, but what about Jimmy? He is definitely LESS handicapped, but I still thing he is somewhat handicapped.
"Cripple Fight" is definitely one of the funniest South Park episodes.

I think Jimmy has Cerebral Palsy & a speech impediment. I don't think he's mentally impaired- he seems too crafty & sneaky for that. I think that there aren't more mentally impaired characters because Timmy has broken the mold & reached the peak of excellence for mentally impaired TV

There's kind of a gray area there.
