So this show is tonight (Friday night), and I can't wait.

-De Novo Dahl needs no introduction. They're amazing, they're the shit, etc. You'll love it.

-Green Rode Shotgun is also a great band - they're all of the good things about garage-rock. Or put another way, I think that they sound like the Features, but with more Kinks and less Talking Heads.

-Phermone - ??? We'll see. I like an adventure.

-Free Cake and Ice Cream needs no introduction. They're amazing, they're the shit, etc. You'll love it.

i think i am going to go. but i may be busy watching reality tv.

I'll be going with my date, YDDD, and am very excited!

Late last night on the way home, some crazy guys kept flashing their high beams at me and when I didn't stop, they got out of their car and started banging on my window & demanding that I go to the De Novo Dahl Ice Cream Social.

After forcing me to pull over into the gas station on the corner, I watched them accost several other innocent passers-by & gas station cutomers with the hand bills.

They eventually got out of my car and let me go home, but man, these guys are serious! They want us to go to their show. I guess I will be there, or fear the repercussions!

I think someone else was listening to WRVU around 8pm last night.

I'll try to make it if I can't find anything better to do.

By my recollection, they're not so hot. It's that blonde-maned guy from that annoying rock band from Nashville that I can't remember the name of. Yeah. But 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Anyway, I just might make it to this show, being in town for some friends' graduation. MMMmmmm...ice cream

BTW, I was looking at the Scene online & it lists Lone Official playing at the Slow Bar tomorrow night. Is this the case? Anyone know a time? If not, there's always Suzanne Vega at Exit/In

Yes Lone Official is playing at Slow Bar tomorrow night, with the amazing Mattoid. I can't give you an exact time on Lone Official, but I know the Mattoid will be playing last (and very late) because one of the members is going to see Suzanne Vega.

i think if i see one more scoop of ice cream ill start crying.. or puking.. or something very dramatic.

We slept. I'd rather have been at the concert, but this was our first week of work in many many moons.

Yeah. I am so disappointed. We actually went to Blue Skye (no one was there then), bought a coke, smoked a cigarette, and then heavy eyelids took over. I just knew that neither of us were up for anything, so we split. I spotted Keith and Carligula as we walked out. Leaving made me feel very depressed and old. I really wish we could have made it to this show. I have been listening to the De Novo Dahl EP on and off since we bought it...and LOVE IT!

Bummer.

i must say that this show was the best de novo dahl show i've ever seen.

thanks for the good feed back. i hope you all know that we do it for you. we just want to make people happy. i am happy to know that you enjoy what we do both live and on cd. be blessed and know that de novo dahl loves you. i want all supporters to know that you do as much for us as we can only hope to do for you.

Were you there? I was looking for you but didn't see you. It was indeed a fun show, but I was even more impressed by the EP I bought. I don't necessarily always have high expectations for studio recordings of live bands I like, but the EP impressed me & then some.
