i think you're alone on this one. sorry
You know you have problems, with both money and alcohol, when you find yourself shoving beers down your pants outside a Features show.

Never fear! You are not alone. My boyfriend, his sidekick, & I already have tickets as well. I won't even mention how much we paid for the tickets b/c it's too embarassing. But I've seen Deep Purple before & they put on a good show & I'm sure we can expect some ass-kicking Purple/Dio onstage collaboration.

Aren't they playing with Deep Purple and somebody else? The other band slips my mind at the moment...

Anyways, enjoy the show.

If you don't have a sidekick then you are the sidekick.

I say 'sidekick' as a code word for 'possible secret lover' because they spend more time together than my boyfriend & I do...hopefully this is only because they live in the same town in FL & I live in Nashville, but it's still a bit suspicious.

Turns out the sidekick isn't coming- so if anyone needs a good seat at the show for a discounted price, email me

i'm ready. i'm thinking of dressing up all swank to counter what's sure to be a gathering of some of the worlds strangest rednecks.

a gathering of some of the worlds strangest rednecks.

And indeed they were. High points of the show:

1. Dio wrapping himself in a Dio scarf like a pretty skirt
2. Realizing that Dio's shreddin guitarist bears a striking resemblance to Jeremy of The Shazam/Pheromone
3. The Scorps' drummer breaking a beer bottle over his head in the middle of his drum solo
4. Having the biggest of the aforementioned freaky rednecks throw a cup of beer on me.
5. Trying to understand what the Scorps singer was saying after every song: 'Tankah BeeBAAAAAHHHH!'

i wish dio would have played in the dark. it sucked seeing him without stage lights. remember that opera song dio's drummer played with?
