Prefer cats or dogs for what? Eating? Those lonely nights with jars of peanut butter? Drug testing? Dissection? I think this is much less wholesome than you imagined.

i'll go with dogs. i have two cats and a beagle, but my beagle has never tried to pounce on my foot. this puts the dog in better favor with me.

Cats rule! I had one named Molly, but she ran away a few months ago. I hope she's not dead now. Okay, maybe that wasn't entirely wholesome.

i hate dogs. i hate cats, too. but if i had to choose it'd be a cat. as long as it was huge and lazy.
i had a pet goat once. that was the coolest pet i've ever had.
she's just another ho that i met in the hood
i told her i was crunchy black and it was all good

i like cats as well. some say cats are bitchy and show no affection towards their owner, but i say, my friends, this simply is not true. i have two cats (they're siamese and they're sisters...how cute is that?) and they are both very affectionate and loving. another plus to having cats is that the extermination bill goes down every month. there are crickets corpses lying around my house every morning.

the domestication of animals is cruel and wrong. animal should only be eaten.

funny story-the parents of my dear friend libby (t. not d.) own this pig that weighs like four hundred pounds. they live in suburban franklin. i think they were conned into buying it by being told that it was a pot-bellied pig. it wasn't. i'm trying to convince her to give it to me when it dies. when that day comes, i shall throw a party where we will eat ham, drink and be merry.

Two things:

1. Ceeze, your new avatar gets the Digsy Seal of Approval for Utter-Awesomeness. Anything with the Catmonkey is hilarious.

2. Dogs rule, cats drool. The only cats that I enjoy are HaveSomeSoma's ghetto kitties...other than that I am won over by the canine loyalty.

Dogs have more energy and therefore are more fun. (thank you, tf))

This is a very hard decision for me. I love both so much. But, I guess I would have to pick cats. I have three dogs and two cats, and I love them all equally. But, my family has always said that when I get to be an old woman, people will call me the "crazy cat lady" because I'll probably have about twenty or so running around my house. I honestly cannot count how many cats I have had over the years.

I have a funny story that I'm sure nobody cares to hear...
One of my cats who never goes outside ran out the other day. My grandmother told my other cat to go outside and find him, and later she hears meowing at the door... It was my other cat with the escapee underneath him. He had literally dragged the escapee cat back to the house and would not let go of his grip until he went inside. This is a true story. This goes to show that animals do know what you're saying and that cats are smart.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

I'm reluctant to shell out $100 for one of those things. I heard they actually work alright. I think one of my cats would be terribly afraid of it.

hahaha... laugh.gif that story is great. i, too, am a believer in the fact that animals understand what you are saying. and i also wanted too add that i love all animals, i just have a special fondness for cats. digsy's dogs are great, and so was iwantelvis's bird (RIP Bozo). and i agree that a goat is a great childhood pet. i had rabbits when i was little, and let me tell you, there are not many things on this earth cuter than a giant bunny in a doll's dress.

My family had a pet rabbit aptly named Bun E. Rabbit--this thing was huge (probably 14 pounds). At my birthday party one year, he started to hump balloons and when he "did his business," the balloon popped. It was pretty disturbing.

ooo that is what i have always wanted. they are so cute and fluffy, but their hair might bother me when they shed. now to stand up for my horse, she actually smells really good. i know some horses that stink, but she smells like skin so soft because i use it to keep the flies off. and my house has never smelled like a horse. don't goats stink?

it's from the south park terrance and phillip episode. they come home after looking for treasure on the subway and their cat and dog are waiting for them. one of them says, "hello barky, hello purry" and the animals respond, "bok bok....flurr flurr". it's one of the few south park episodes that has withstood the test of time. i guess it's not technically a south park episode though....
