Wow tonite's show was amazing. Elvis did a great job hosting and was absolutely hilarious. Eddie Izzard (a Whose Line alum) was cool and the comedian was...well he was funny but he struck me as odd. And then Elvis closed the show fantastically. I'm looking forward to the induction ceremony on Sunday even more now.

yes, the show was excellent. i never knew mr. costello was so witty. was the comedian blind or mentally handicapped or something? i was confused. nonetheless the show was great. thanks for the heads up man.

I thought the show was great tonight. Elvis did a fine job of hosting. I love Kim Catrall, Eddie Izzard was great, and I have always liked Mitch Hedberg. I think his jokes are more, I don't know what to call it, not witty, but, you know ... they don't center around making fun of white people or sex. I think he's cute with his shyness (not looking towards the audience) and whatnot. I wanted to see him when he did a show at Zaney's a year or so ago, but didn't get to.

I loved the show and thougt that Mr. Costello did a fine job. Elvis looked very dapper in his suit wub.gif I'm really glad he gave the black jeans and cowboy boots a rest.

The performance was awesome. New lyrics to WSFAPLAU were great. I love Steve more everytime I see him. His little hat and spaggetti legs were really cute. This was such a random treat. Dave picked a fine host and I hope he is invited back again. biggrin.gif

Yes, he was. He did a very good job, too, in my opinion...I believe Mr. Davies taped the whole thing if anybody was dying to see it and missed it.

i did tape it, and i thought mitch hedberg was great as always....he's one of my favorite comedians. random humor....fabulous.

i though elvis was a very good choice for a host. he was witty, and he didnt act like a retard like some of the other hosts (coughcoughJohnMcEnroecoughcough).

haha, yeah, i heard some routine where he was talking about ducks liking bread (i think on leno?) and it was funny as hell. something about how he'd let the ducks take the pepperidge farm bread if he worked at a store. what a funny guy. i am also kicking myself for not seeing him at zanies. i could've gone with my sis & brother-in-law for $5.

I caught Mitch Hedberg at Zanies a few months ago and it was great. He recycled a lot of jokes, but to hear them in person with that awkward swagger of his was nice.
"Sugar, Mr. Poon?"
"No, never, never... thank you."

I can't believe I missed this. I was probably watching "Whose Line Is It Anyway" when I could have been watching ELVIS. I love him so much. Mr. Davies, I must borrow this tape from you, please!!!!

Yeah, Mitch Hedberg is great. I went and saw him at Zanies last year. But every time I've seen him on TV since then, I haven't heard any jokes that he didn't tell at that show. Oh well.

The one about the donut is great, too, but I can't remember it well enough to recite it. Oh, and the one about the escalator. I guess there are lots...

By the way, Supergrass was incredible! They are just a good solid live rock'n'roll band. Nothing too fancy, just 90 minutes of really energetic rock'n'roll.

Gaz does look like a monkey.

Will Ferrel was on last night. I love Will, but he kept interrupting people and stepping on their words. The cameramen didn't know which person was going to get their sentence out, so they kept going back and forth.

will ferrel interviewing chris rock was really awkward. i anticipated that him talking to crispin glover would be very strange, but then i saw that ringo was on leno so i stopped watching.

I know it has to do with getting a receipt for a donut and filing it under "D"

It was something like, "the other day I went to buy a donut and they gave me a receipt. Is that really necessary? When in my life am I actually going to have to prove that I bought a donut? Look, I'll give you the $0.65, you give me the donut. Do we really need to bring ink and paper into this transaction?"

Something like that.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

yeah, will farrell was merely an average host, but i must say that i enjoy crispin glover. his interview on conan was much better than the one that occurred on the late show.....very eccentric
