What are everyone's expectations for the cover for this landmark? Considering the cleverness of the title, should we expect some sort of "evidence" theme? Post what you think here. Mock-ups are welcome.

Excellent question! Relevant enough to be in the "general" question, but whatever...

As mentioned before, some think the EuroEP cover was a bit "indie". I'm still undecided how I feel about the re-released US EP.

I guess it makes sense that it's something happy and sunny. I'm expecting some pastels. They seem to be infatuated with camera/photography images these days (old/new stickers, UK tour shirt), so we might see that trend continue.

I just hope it's not a "band shot". I also hope it's not overly obvious like you suggest.

I would just like to officially let the band/management know that they are welcome to include a picture of me on the cover.

That's sooooooo off. Rollum is the judge (holding drumsticks instead of a gavel), Matt is the lawyer (with that characteristic glare), and Roger is the defendant (looking espcially dirty). If you look closely, Parrish is NOT a witness-- he's the court reporter-- and he's taking notes on his keyboard.

And the presidential picture on the wall features yours truly.

And BTW, that would be a badass video for the title track. Lawyer Matt presenting his case to the court in song. Whoa, lookout the judge is drumming...

i have a couple of friends that have been working on the cover for various reasons.......one as a favor to matt ....the other cause he redid the artwork for the begining in america......so i will describe what has been said so far ...


artwork #1 : An island shaped like a heart on a old pirate map with a campfire in the corner of the heart island(a refrence to the song )

artwork #2: A old looking hand pointing up to an exhibit on display of a burning heart .


artwok # 3 : A bunch of records broken up in pieces to make a heart laying on a old record player

it makes me feel like valentines talking about all this.I don't know if these ideas will be used .But i thought i would tell you guys anyway!

i think the "big bird sings" cover is cute, though. i think the cover art for "exhibit a" should just be the "big bird sings" cover art with a tiny version of the features playing a set on big bird's tongue.

I think it should be the same bird, only with the colors in negative, or all watercolor-y. Or a filing cabinet that says "Exhibit A." Maybe the cabinet could be green, or purple!
