Sorry if I left out one of your favorites. I can only list 10 choices, so you at least get the "Other" option.

A friend of mine recently downloaded EVERY episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? for me. I've started watching them, and whoa. I thought those were scary? Regardless, they still entertain me. If I could do a tie vote, I would do it for Hey Dude and Pete and Pete, though.

This was hard.....I went for Pete and Pete. It's the most 90s. I had a really big crush on Clarissa.

Anyone who votes for Wild and Crazy Kids or What Would You Do should be slapped. I voted for YCDTOTV. I loved a lot of those shows though.

Does anyone remember a short lived show called Don't Just Sit There? It was kind of a talk/variety show that no one seems to recall, but I loved it. I also was hooked on Nick's Canadian Teen Soap Opera, "15."
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

When I was around 7 or so a show called "The Third Eye" was on Nickelodeon. It was very Twilight Zone and quite strange. I wasn't even sure that it really existed and I did some research online but, in fact, it was a real show. Seems it came on only 2 years after Nick was in the mainstream which was about '83. It says about the show:

"Quote"
The Third Eye was a hodgepodge of foreign mini series' that aired on Nickelodeon beginning in 1983. It consisted of "Into the Labyrinth", "Children of the Stones," "The Haunting of Cassie Palmer," and "Under The Mountain." These shows were very strange, and not the upbeat stuff kids were used to. In fact, many people have told me they didn't believe these shows were originally aimed at children at all. Their bizarre nature, and unclear target audience made them something of a novelty that hasn't been seen since it's time on Nick.

Other than that I watched a lot of YCDTOT along with every other kid. I think the station manager and the dad were the same guy.
Be still Cody! Be still!!!

This is one of my favorite topics, but I have to say I'm disappointed in the choices. I voted other. Today's Special is my favorite, followed by Pinwheel. Then, I'd say Hey Dude.

I watched G.I.Joe, Transformers, Voltron, TranzorZ, Thundercats, MASK, Smurfs, and Snorks on network TV like all the other poor country kids who weren't wired for cable and whose parents were too cheap to buy satellite until the kids went to college. No, I'm not bitter.

Yeah, my parents were the same way. I was lucky enough to have a grandmother who had cable.

Yeah, I'm the same way. But you know what? I don't feel like I missed anything.

I recently watched some GI Joe on DVD. I was surprised at how much I still enjoyed it.

And I'm glad someone else remembers TrazorZ. That's one I want to see on DVD.

remember the round house? that was a pretty lame ass show...all except for the "dad" character who had the motorized lazyboy. that was bonkers.

and my favorite would probably be that game show where they hid one small thing on a fake house on a sound stage and the kids had to tear up the palce to find it...i think it was called hidden pictures or something like that.

i also liked legends of the hidden temple if not just to hear the announcer say "shrine of the silver monkey." those temple guards were pretty frightening though.

i guess my vote will go for pete and pete if just for artie the strongest man....in the world!

That's Finders Keepers, I believe, with that really annoying host who always seemed like he secretly hated the kids on the show.

"Can you settle to shoot me?"

The Pete and Pete theme song was beautiful.

i had to go with "salute your shorts." i'd say i genuinely enjoyed that one the most as a kid.

clarissa always kind of got on my nerves, but i still watched it because i loved tv. i fo' real saw the set to "clarissa explains it all" once when i went to universal studios.

i always loved "hey dude," though i found it a little wild and a little strange that the native american character was played by an actor named joe torres. i was like "yipee-kiy-yiy what"?

the cook's name on "YCDTOT" was barf, correct? that's awesome.

I love some old school Nick, of course. I voted for "Pete & Pete" even though I loved almost all of the options equally. I went through phases as a kid, Clarissa, Dude, Shorts, all good.

Finding people who remember "15" is rare. I watched it, it was pretty topical. Wasn't there an alcoholic kid?

I definitely remember the roundhouse. In fact, the theme song is my head right now. I remember sitting in front of my grandparents' television (and let me tell you, I was sitting way too close) and waiting for it to be over so that AYAOTD would come on. I vaguely remember thinking that it was Nick's version of In Living Color.

Sadie, sorry for not including the shows you dug. I opted with the ones I remember most vividly, since I assumed they had more time on the air.

HSS, do you remember the episode of Salute Your Shorts that involved Zeke the Plumber? That episode has got to be the one that stands out the most.

The same goes with the episode of Hey Dude that involved Ted (you know, Blossom's boyfriend) getting locked in a cabin after they were talking about murders that happened on the ranch in the past. The story said that the campers were found dead in their beds, but all their doors and windows were locked from the inside. There was a storm, and Ted was locked in one of the cabins when he finally figured it out. He said something like, "They came in through the floors!" I almost wet myself. Definitely my favorite episode.

You know, now that I think about it, I watched way too much TV when I was little. Thank God I actually played Capture The Flag and Hide and Seek with my friends two houses away.

I've been all but forgotten, dear. I do remember a time when I would check this messageboard every single time I got on the computer. It was the equivalent of checking my email. I even had no idea that jamiecarroll was gone until this march madness stuff started. It's pretty sad.

Damn, I just saw this post. Anyways I downloaded that Zeke the Plumber episode several months ago, it has to be my favorite episode of any Nickelodeon show of all time. That and the episode where Sponge was involved in that radio contest quiz were great.

Pete and Pete would probably be my second choice, but what about GUTS? I mean contestants got to take home a piece of Agro-Krag or whatever that was called. That and the "Temple of Doom" were the best gameshows.
