TOPIC: Features MB Wrestling Trivia Championship

It's all about to happen

Saturday, March 27th, at the sketch apartment known as A15 in Murfreesboro, board members Ray Davies and Keith duke it out in the Features Messageboard Wrestling Trivia Championship. If you are unfamiliar with the apartment, PM me for directions. This is coinciding with our party. There will be free beer on tap.

Here's what I'm thinking...

A question will be asked. Each opponent writes down their response. If one gets it right and the other does not, the incorrect person drinks the cup of beer that sits between them and the correct person receives a point. As the rounds advance, more beer is consumed per incorrect answer given.

Special bonuses are:

1. If a player thinks that their opponent will not know the answer, they indicate it on their answer sheet. If the opponent is indeed wrong, they will suffer a punishment to be determined. If the opponent gives the correct answer, the challenger must suffer said punishment. There should be five of these available for the entire game.

2. Each player will have an "ask a friend" option. They can only use this once. If they are unsure of an answer or don't know an answer, they can ask a friend of their choosing. BUT, be careful! Some party-goers may be paid off to deceive you! Just like in wrestling!

The winner after three rounds will be crowned Features Messageboard Wrestling Trivia Champion. Each round will have 10 - 15 questions, with increasing beer consumption on the line. There will also be a special Lightning Round at the end of the game! Unlike the format of the previous rounds! There will also be special guest referees!

This will be a truly monumental event! PM me for the special party theme, get suited up, come on over, get trashed, and watch these fuckers duke it out in the Features Messageboard Wrestling Trivia Championship on Saturday, March 27th @ The Sketch Apt!

give suggestions

If it wasn't my birthday, I'd come over from England to watch.

Okay... well... maybe not.

Sounds like fun though.

I can help with questions if you need...
...and this ain't one of them...

That's so NA.

I think there should be betting. I can run the odds.

Also, I still think at the end of the Lightning Round (assuming each player will be sufficiently drunk) they should play a round of a wrestling game. Damon and I can bring Legends Of Wrestling II on Gamecube (and the gamecube if there is none on premises).

Is there a possibility of the Paulfreaksmeout/TheSub Dank-off as well?

If there is sufficient chronic. We have discussed having a similar competition before. It would be fucking hilarious.

and mighty wasteful, but every main event needs a lead-off match.

Oh, I think between the two of them they could supply a sufficient amount. I'd bet it won't take long before they simply fall asleep. Really, the concept is funnier than anything.

Indeed. It's also somewhat of an apartment battle for dankness. In the meantime, The Sub is on a regimented workout schedule.

It would be similar to the drink-off scene between Hidalgo and Chris Farley in Almost Heroes. Ventilation could be a key factor. Who will the smog get to first?

Those were indeed sweet moves. I think the real winners were the lovely young bride and groom that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Actually, they weren't that attractive. And the bride bummed a cigarette off of me. I can only hope she's not knocked up.

I guess I'll go ahead and concede defeat, but it was a VERY close competition. We were tied at the end of all of the prepared questions, and WWF: The Trivia Game had to be used to come up with sudden death questions. I think the final score was 23 to 24 or something like that. I'm SURE I would have known "Dangerous" Dan Spivey if I wasn't forced to drink 4 beers before we got to that question. Anyway, it was a true clash of the titans, and if we were to team up, there would be no stopping us (although I would turn on him right when he needed me the most like the true heel that I am).

It was lots of fun. Thanks, RB and company for organizing it all and being such great hosts.

The drop-in wedding party was strange. Despite all the fun I had, I couldn't help but think that it's probably not the place I'd most like to be on my wedding night.

If the bride is knocked up, any smoking-related trauma suffered by the fetus should in no way be blamed on you, Miss S.

the competition was extremely close, but i somehow i prevailed thorugh my drunken fog. i would be glad to have keith as a partner in a future battle, but i plan on having some salt nearby to throw in his eyes when he least expected it.

one final thought: tests of strength? not cool. keith has extreme bass playing muscles. too much for my scrawny ass to handle. overall, a good time was had by all.

Random people got married, I can post their picutres as soon as I get them developed....Keith and Ray weren't actually dancing, that was a Feat of Strength where Keith totally kicked Mr. Davies' ass, it only looks like they're dancing.
