Thanks to the 14 people who voted.

(1) Circus - 8
(2) See You Thru - 6

(1) Buffalo Head - 10
(3) Action - 4

And so the championship will be:

Circus
vs
Buffalo Head

I've noticed that interest has waned on this since its beginning. I think several have had their favorite songs lose. And the close match for the real championship was in the final four, since very few would vote Buffalo Head or Action over See You Thru or Circus.

I really really was hoping that See You Thru would've pulled it off. Circus is dominating this bracket system again this year. The funny thing is I don't think enough of us would say Circus or Buffalo Head are at the top of our lists for Features songs, but here they are at the top of the Brackets. Go figure.

Circus (and probably Buffalo Head) is definitely near the top of my list. In the top 10 to be sure.

As far as "Circus" is concerned, it's had to face some pretty stiff competition to get to the final. I don't know if it would be anyone's favorite song, but it has to mean something that it has made it to the final two years in a row.

Does anyone care to name their one favorite Features song? Mine would probably be "Leave It All Behind."

I'd put circus at the top of my list, if only because it was the first features song I heard. I'd also put See You Through up there, though... I didn't remember to vote in any so far and I wish I had now, because I would have voted for See You Through.

Isn't it funny that last year's runner-up ("Oh My Love") didn't even make the Sweet 16 this year?

I was thinking about that.

I wonder if this tournament last year is what influenced the band to make "Oh My Love" the b-side for the Buffalo Head single. I thought that the Mahaffey recording of it wasn't that great, and that it wasn't the strongest song from those sessions.

I also wonder if the revival of Circus in the Features' sets (it's now the all-time opener) came from last year's tournament.

Well, if that's the case, I don't think that this year's tournament will enact very much change. Except that maybe "Action" will be played more often (which is definitely a good thing).

It may be breaking the anonymity of the voting, JC, but has any band member ever voted?

I cannot answer that question, YDDD, as it would indeed violate the anonymity of the voting.

I always saw the inclusion of "Oh My Love" as the following:

Some Mahaffesy Sessions songs were dead or mostly dead: Armani Suede, Jurley, Paid to Think

Some Mahaffey Sessions songs were still going strong and likely to be re-recorded if included on a release: Darkroom, Exorcising Demons, Kari-Anne, See You Through

That left 33 1/3, Oh My Love, and Serious for inclusion. Since I love 33 1/3 so much, I wish that'd been it, but in any case, Oh My Love makes the most sense, to me, to be paired with Buffalo Head out of those three.

"Leave It All Behind" is my one favorite Features song and, actually, if I ever get the time to sit down and make a top 100 list of my favorite songs ever, "LIAB" would pobably be in the top 10, if not the top 5, if not the top 3, and maybe even #1. Only the Excel sheet knows for sure....

This is all ture, but it seems that if the Krampf sessions do not turn into the stuff for the new album, even Darkroom, Exorcising Demons, Kari-Anne, and See You Through will be too old for it. I have a feeling that those will never make it official release. Well, cancel that, I'll make this prediction: only two of the four even have a chance of being considered.

I agree with 33 1/3. I thought it would've been a great choice because a song about vinyl should be put on vinyl.

Noticing avatars, though usually off topic, shouldn't be considered irrelevant.

And, say it with me folks, Those two songs will be See You Through and Exorcising Demons.

Just furthering your prediction.

And I agree, 33 1/3 needs a vinyl release. I may be the only one, but I think that this song has improved alot since it was recorded for Mahaffey, and could stand to be rerecorded. The few times I've seen it live, it blew me away in a way the Mahaffey recording doesn't.

I never said which songs it would be. I'm not sure one will be Demons.

I think 33 1/3 is a song that many of us enjoy more because the Mahaffey project gave us such poor versions of those songs. I could be wrong, but I think those of us who pitch for that song are probably the ones who heard it more live. I had been a fan for 2 years before I got that version. Just a thought. I could be wrong.

I'd hate for the same thing to win two years in a row. I am a little disappointed, I think they are both really good songs but neither are anywhere near my very favorite.

See You Thru was the only one in the final four I would've said was a favorite of mine. I could never pick a favorite.

I would've gone with Action. I can't pick a favorite either, it just depends on my mood and there are so many. I meant that neither of those have ever and probably won't ever be my favorite.

i would have to say that those two are two of my favorite features songs. they would definitely both be in the top ten. i would have loved to have seen "someway, somehow" make it to the end. not that i'm being a negative nelson though...i'm glad to see that it at least made it as far as it did.
i don't think i could ever pick one favorite features song. nope.
