i don't expect anyone to reply, but i just have to say that very few songs have pissed me off that much. i watched a davy jones hosted infomercial for a time life 60s collection and they played that damn song over and over. now i have 'heeey theeeere georgyyy giiiiirl, blah blah blah meh meh blah blah blah blah...' indefinitely repeating in my head.

Ha! I've spent many a late night hour watching said infomercial. I actually kind of enjoy it, it's better than most stuff that's on at 2 am. I've got Percy Sledge's every movement to 'When A Man Loves A Woman' memorized... the way he's looking up at the beginning then looks down and starts shaking his head... pretty sad, isn't it?

a lot of the songs on that collection are great. the problem with those things is that i'd rather buy the album it's on if i don't already have it. they never put animals songs other than 'house of the..' on 60s collections. i think the features should 'don't let me be misunderstood'.

i think 'georgie girl' is amazing. i put it up there with 'downtown' by petula clark, 'different drum' by the stone ponies and anything off dusty springfield's 'dusty in memphis.'

no, no, no. not a dirty comment. i'd never say anything with that intention. you know i haven't got any machismo. i meant that sometimes my zany antics(jumping around, talking jibberish, playing pere ubu or mission of burma, and making noise on instruments) make her angry.
