yes, we all know that the Grammy Awards are highly irrelevant, but the inclusion of Clinic's "Walking With Thee" really surprised me!

Alternative Music Album: "Sea Change," Beck; "Walking With Thee," Clinic; "A Rush of Blood to the Head," Coldplay; "Cruel Smile," Elvis Costello and The Imposters; "Behind the Music," The Soundtrack of Our Lives.

The Flaming Lips did get a nod in the "Best Rock Instrumental" category. The Best New Artist category, which I was positive would include the White Stripes, utterly sucks. Avril Lavigne is nominated in way too many categories. The albums of the year are so horrible...I really used to respect the Grammys but ever since the pop-explosion of 1999, they have just kept getting more and more irrlevent.

The only categories that I am happy with would be the rap ones since Ludacris is nominated multiple times. Go Luda-man, go.

Dude, Petey Pablo is so taking home the gold. Raise Up! Take your shirt off! And twist it 'round your head (like a helicopta)!

Yeah, the Grammy's can suck it. I am happy to see the Lips, Beck, and Coldplay all getting props, though.

If Eminem wasn't such a (gag) *critics favorite*, I would so say that Ludacris would win Best Rap Album. That is a pretty solid album all the way through (thank God for red-headed friends who like rap biggrin.gif ).
