I've been listening to Franz Ferdinand quite a bit. I really dig them. Clearly not as much as our beloved Features, but I dig what I've heard...

Any other guilty parties?

You may like grandma's yard gnomes, but I've seen Rock City. Remember it.

What FF do certainly isn't too far removed from what The Features do, but I find the lyrics of FF a bit too High School for me. It's all about going out and pulling, 'You're going home with me, I want to get off with you', and while that can be good music to dance to in a club, it's not exactly going to stand the test of time.

I think FF are also a bit of a one trick pony - I can't really see them getting much beyond their first album.

Why is this a "guilty" pleasure? Jamiecarroll mentioned it too. I've been getting really into FF since I heard them on BBC while waiting for The Features to come on. They are a bit 2D, but it's catchy and fun to sing along to. Other than that, what's the beef against them?

I think it's because in all the 'which band will breakthrough this year?' polls, FF have always been in the running. And they've always won. And it's not fair!

guilty...and loving it. Take Me Out is a ridiculously catchy song. I am saying ridiculous here to describe the song's catchiness. It rocks.

Bill, it was a different time. It was back when we didn't know the Russians were incompetent.
