Has anyone else seen this? It comes on the Cartoon Network at 9pm on Sundays. It's done by the same guys that created Dr. Katz.

yes, i have seen this show. it kicks so much ass! i loved dr. katz, so i was very excited when i heard that the creators were coming up with "home movies". Has anyone seen the episode where they make an homage to franz kafka's "metamorphasis"? it's so funny.

Home Movies kicks ass! I've been watching for about a year now. They were showing it for an hour twice a week (Sunday and Thursday) and I was watching regularly, but now I think they show 1 episode a week and I always seem to miss it. The best thing about it was that it introduced me to Adult Swim (Aqua Force Hunger Team, Sealab 2021, and Brak Show especially). Do they still show Baby Blues? That show sucks.

I also love Home Movies. The Franz Kafka one was so good. I used to watch it a lot last year, but also have trouble catching it on this year. I only wish that they would show Dr. Katz again.
But what will happen to the boy when the circus comes to town?

Cartoon Network needs to show reruns of Dr. Katz.

I'll have to keep a look out for Home Movies. I used to love Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Cartoon Planet (I had T-SHIRTS) and I do enjoy what little bit of The Brak Show and Harvey Birdman that I have seen.

I entered the Adult Swim contests and got a Master Shake air freshener and a SeaLab 2021 shirt. No one sees the air freshener, but everyone loves the shirt. I've been watching Adult Swim irregulary from Christmas until the beginning of the summer, when I watched it every week. I can't watch it now a days. Damn school.

More importantly, check out Sea Lab 2021 and Aqua Force Hunger Teens. If you like the "off" humor of Space Ghost (or Upright Citizens Brigade, Sifl and Olly, etc.), you'll LOVE these shows.

Correct you are. I am an idiot. Still love it, though.

My favorite quote from last week:

Frylock: He pushed you out of the way to save you from being run over by that semi truck!

Shake Zula: Well, he's in a better place now...

Frylock: In the grill of a semi truck!?!

Okay, that's probably WAY off, but you get the jist of it.

I love Space Ghost, He ruled me (copyright Stephanie) back in 8th grade. And Sifl & Olly is underrated in my humble opinion. I loved that show...watched it every nite. I have one episode on my computer and one recorded on the ol' VHS...I savor them.

Both of the Cartoon Planet albums, "Musical Bar-B-Q" and "Surf & Turf", are filled with hilarious songs and skits from the old Cartoon Planet series (Old, it was on like, 3 years ago). Oh I'm chuckling just thinking about the Brak's School Daze skits...Zorak's ditties about being evil...the shameless Nirvana ripoff "Nasty"...The Song That Never Ends...genius....all of it...

Sifl and Olly is easily the most brilliant of all underappreciated television. Hilarious. And to think they're from Nashville...

he's not crescent fresh!!!!

i have some brak "learning to talk italian" lessons. they are great. they tell you how to say things like the door is made of soup, have you swallowed your brains, there is an eggplant in your mustache, etc...hahaha! Brak is the best. i don't really like the new show because it doesn't sound like the original brak. has anyone seen the burning bush on space ghost?

Home Movies was quite enjoyable this Sunday, as was The Brak Show. I am really looking forward to this new season. I'm glad to see that others realize the genius of Home Movies. I must introduce myself to more Adult Swim. I've tried watching some others, but nothing can live up to Home Movies. I just wish they would revive Dr. Katz and air it on Adult Swim.

I dunno. Its just sort of known. They ended up elsewhere though, and often exchanged scripts via email and recorded the voices on one another's answering machines before one of them did the "puppetry" for the whole show.

I loved that show and would kill someone for DVDs...

Episodes from MST3K seasons 8 and 9 are being shown saturday mornings on sci-fi, 8 a.m. Did you rent that Next Gen box set? If so, where? I am having a hard time shelling out $100 for each season!

Cowboy Bebop = Quality Anime

Speaking of cartoons, has anyone checked out the new He-Man and Transformers Armada cartoons on Cartoon Network (5-6pm central on Fridays and noon-1 central Saturdays)? I'm highly impressed. They did a super job of keeping that old school feel, especially with the former. It's almost creepy...

I have seen the new He-Man, and I must say that it brought back many memories from my childhood. I love He-Man, but I must say that I thought that the "Masters of the Universe" movie starring Dolph Lundgren(?) was damn terrible.

I've been able to find a couple of episodes and many of the skits/specials on Kazaa. My favorite MST3K episodes (being mostly a seasons 7-9 fan) would have to be PumaMan and Prince of Space. PumaMan is just....hilarious. I may have to watch it now that I've started remembering it...

From the aforementioned page:

"The only plans Mattel had for the series were to sell toys; the comic books depended entirely on which toys they decided to do ... There weren't plans for the series' future because there weren't plans, period."

Ah the cold cold truth. Where's the love, matell? Don't you want to tell compelling stories to spark the fires of imagination and make the world a better place for our generation and our children?
