TOPIC: How do you convince someone?

I've been trying to convince my friend to listen to the features. He's so bloody annoying. He says he only listens to "Genius Music" such as Oasis. In my opinion Oasis are exactly what's wrong with 2005. They're so far up themselves it's unbelievable! Anyway, he's one of those people who only like bands when they become big. A good examlpe of this is Bloc PartyHe wouldn't come see them when they were unrecognised but when they get into the NME chart and they're album gets good reviews he's suddenly their biggest fan! What can you do!????!?!?!?!?

P.S - This is happening again with the Arctic Monkeys from Sheffield. Watch this Space!

So do the general public in England still think Oasis are genius in 2005? I mean...1995 - absolutely...2005 - not so much.

I don't think there's much you can do about your friend. The album pretty much speaks for itself. If that doesn't work, maybe he could go to a gig. If that doesn't work, he'll probably never get it. Some people don't. As Keith says, "that's why they make chocolate and vanilla."
Relevant: Prince, PT Anderson, Punk, Post-Punk, Purple, Party of Five, Peter Swanson, Peter Gabriel-led Genesis, "Peter Panic", Paul's Boutique, Potential Energy, Every Features MB member but me.

Secondary 1-6 = ages 11-17

then college/University = 16+

Could you match it?

Wah, don't lump us in with the heathens!

I don't even seem to be trying to persuade people. I make a lot of mix CDs for friends and family, and as a rule I will put a Features track on. Since making a 'Bands I've seen this year' CD for my sister for Christmas, she's had my copy of The Beginning EP, and the album keeps disappearing from my bedroom.

My boyfriend (who I took to a Features concert whilst trying to lure him into my web) suggested his brother might like to hear it. His brother has had the album for a month now, and he keeps playing it to his friends who then fall in love with The Features.

The music speaks for itself!
