Yes, it seems that michael has changed the navigation bar at the top of the site. (I'm guessing that it was michael since he made a rare appearance on the message board around the same time the site changed.) I would guess he wanted to make it easier to read. The old navigation bar had all of the words running together, and you couldn't easily tell what they were unless you hovered your mouse over it.

Change is good! Let's all embrace it.

yeah i noticed that too.  it kinda freaked me out at first, but ya know.  life goes one, man.  life goes on.

i also noticed that no matter how hard i try, i cannot get myself successfully logged on as stalker on skates. it keeps saying thanks stalker on skates, then tells me im a guest again. ARGH . . .

I noticed michael's appearance too, so change was inevitable. I liked the colors on the other one better..blue is my color. But, I guess this bar blends with all of the different links, too. And, Tom Foolery, I think that change IS good, so I'm with you in embracing it.

OK... I'm a bit slow, but I also just noticed that the typeface for thefeatures at the top of the screen has changed as well. Note how the 'a' in the new typeface is two-story whereas it was only one in the original version. What's up with that?

I actually just liked that font a bit more, but if the general concensus is that the previous one is better - let me know and I'll change it up. I don't think the band has an official font, but I've been wrong before....

As for the actual nav part - Matt, Rory, Brian and I all decided that it was too hard to read and definetly needed some fixing. I always said the site would be going through small changes as time went on.. but it's a bit more infrequent than I suspected.

As for my 'rare' board appearances.. I guess that's kind of true but I do come and check in on the posts to make sure theres no huge disaster or some highly supported request that I've been missing (see Lyrics and Tabs forum).

Maybe I should make a 'site suggestions' forum as well just to make sure I don't miss anything.

I like the new typeface just fine... I was just making an observation.

I was thinking today that the band has never settled on a single logo/type treatment for their name. Every T-shirt, CD, and sticker they've put out looks different.

the navigation bar should be lower case. it looks like that's more important than the band name now. cause the band name is thin and lower case but the navigation is all caps. i like the spacing though.
