the strokes and white stripes are contemplating releasing a co-single of sorts. how very odd. it would be the strokes on one side and the white stripes on the other. a shocking idea that could cause my head to explode. blink.gif ohmy.gif huh.gif
We'll miss you Mr. Hooper.

ugh. don't get me wrong, they're both fine bands, but a co-single would only serve to fuel the general public's belief that these are the ONLY two rock bands on the planet.....except for the hives and the vines of course.

I'd be down for that. But would it be two previously recorded songs, two live tracks taken from the recent concerts, or two completely new songs? I think it'd be awesome if they released a co-single with two completely new A-sides (not available on the upcoming albums, of course). That would be really cool in my opinion.

I think it's great that these two great bands also have great respect for each other.

I think it's a novel concept. It would probably be on colored vinyl. I'd buy it.

It would be cool (and amazingly expensive I assume) if one side was the Strokes logo and the other side had a peppermint on it. That would be a very very cool collectors item...

that would be great. however, i'm wondering how it would work since each band is on a different record label.

Rancid and NOFX released a cd that was half and half of live songs. I'd call them fairly big. I though about getting it, but I forgot about it by the time I left the store.

I would definitely buy something released by The Strokes and The White Stripes. That would definitely rule me.
