Any mastering or recording program will work. Sound Forge is pretty good for that sort of thing.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Keith, you are destined to rock. Never forget this.

Try Quicktime Pro ($30, http://www.apple.com/quicktime), you can open a song and snip parts off however you like. It's what I use to remove the annoying "hidden track silence" and you can also cut and paste most video clips as well. Although it costs $30 for the password to unlock Quicktime Pro, if you're of loose moral fiber you can search around in most P2P sharing programs and find the code for free.

Not as versatile in some areas (mainly input and output) but much more powerful for audio, and FREE, is Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Open source goodness!

Good luck.

if you use itunes you can set your own starting point in a song. right-click the song and "get info", then go to the options tab and you can set new beginnings and ends to all your favorite songs with annoying intros or outros. or, in your case, you can make a copy of the song, then set one to end with the first song, then the other to begin with the "hidden" track. the new start/end points also work if you put the songs on an ipod or burn them to a cd
